Worst nail experience in my over 20 years of getting manicures. The technician was so aggressive she cut into two of my nail beds causing them to bleed profusely. then she didn’t even offer bandaids and antiseptic until I had to ask for it. Not only that but I still had to pay even though they couldn’t even finish two my nails since they had to get bandaged up! I’m in a lot of pain and am actually worried they might be infected .

I made an appointment at Dipping Nails about a week ago for a dip soak off and replacement on my hands, and regular pedi. It was my first time visiting Dipping Nails, and only maybe my third time having my nails done post Covid, so I wasn’t sure what to expect walking in, as both salons I’ve visited prior have varied slightly in their Covid accommodations. When I walked in my temperature was checked and I was asked to wash my hands, then I noticed plexiglass partitions at the nail stations. The pedicure stations are fairly far apart from one another, and everyone was wearing masks, plus the door was left open. It was not overly crowded at all, and I felt confident that they were really taking Covid precautions seriously. My mani/pedi were excellent. Anne was my nail tech, and she did a great job cleaning up my cuticles, shaping my nails, and changing my dip polish. And she found a great matching polish for my toes. I’m a week out and they still look really fresh. I’ll definitely go back in a week or two when there’s noticeable growth and I need to swap polish. I’m really happy to have found a new, super affordable nail salon, right in my backyard! They do prefer cash only (like a lot of salons), but I think it’s really worth it.

Critical: CleanlinessTHEY USED DIRTY CLIPPERS ON ME….not clean what so ever. The lady was careless to the service and used dirty nippers on my cuticles on my toes and laughed with her co worker as she was informed that she was using dirty nippers. The massage was a waste of time she just held them and wiggled it ….. and the hot rock wasn’t even hot ….. 40$ down the drain. Pleasant, professional, clean nail tools and Saloon. Easy to park. Great color wheel pallet for Gel, Chrome, or SNS nails. Try SNS powder under your Gel or Chrome, I use this and it’s amazing how pretty my nails look while lasting with bursts of color for up to three weeks. I was a devoted customer in Ivey and Jenny’s booths in the Berkeley nail salon; I’ve followed them to their own business in Orinda. When you find your special nail professional, you keep going only to them.

My usual place didn’t have any appointments and I’m so happy because this place is the best dip mani I’ve ever had!! Beautiful and very sweet. I have a feeling weekdays are slower but quality didn’t disappoint on a very busy Saturday!
