Positive: QualityMs. Franki took great care of my hair. If you are like me, you have been wistfully hoping for a haircut but not wanting to venture into any hair salons due to all the ongoing uncertainty. I was considering other salons in the area (Madison Park or the Hill) but not really feeling like I wanted to pull the trigger and book something– and for good reason.Enter DIG Salon.I have walked by this adorable spot without knowing it’s there I don’t know how many times. One miraculous day, I paid a little bit more attention and noticed it was a hair studio! It had a single chair and a sweet little Dolly Parton book in the window — I gasped in delight because I adore Ms. Dolly. So I walked home (aka across the street, I am lucky to live a block from this gem) and booked as soon as I could.I am totally thrilled! I haven’t had a haircut in probably close to 2 years (I cut it myself because lockdown) and my hair was in a sad state of fishhook curls, breakage and knots. I wasn’t even sure if I had curls any longer, they were that uncared for.So I brought Ms. Franki a few photos of what I was thinking (super short like Shirley Temple) and gave her carte blanche because I knew she was good. She must’ve cut 7 or more inches from my shoulder-length mess and turned me into a real person again.She styled it, put sparkle in it, and I floated out the door.
