Take my son here all the time! Have never had any problems. Everyone super sweet….. until today, I went in at about 4:00 to see if they had a walk in, as my son has picture day tomorrow. They say come back at 5:15 I get there 5 minutes early. I still wait approximately an hour for my son to be seen. One of the men barbers got sick and a woman named AMANDA had took over to cut his hair and asked what I wanted done. I told her just a little off the top and the sides faded… All is good until she takes the clippers across my sons head and cut a patch of his bangs off and the woman told me it was my fault for not explaining what I want!!!!!!!! THE AUDACITY!!!!!!! To blame it on me! She argued with me that it was my fault because she messed up!!! She knew she messed up and didn’t apologize once. Just argued. I will never be returning based on her hair skills and customer service. Horrible experience. Not to mention i have to pay 40$ With no wash or towel services or 50$ if he gets no guard on the clippers. Ridiculous. Ruined my sons pictures first picture a week after his last hair cut. Second picture today.

Made the mistake of not booking a haircut with a local barbershop before the holidays. The atmosphere of this place is really good and the workers were polite, but that’s about all the good I can say. My fade was not even nor was it blended and the neck shave was done with a safety razor. I feel like this shop is an expensive version of a sports clips, not a barber shop. I wouldn’t have an issue with a 10 minute fade or safety razor shave if it didn’t cost the same as a much higher quality barber cut. For being billed as a barber shop, they really represent more as a run of the mill corporate hair cut shop. Attached are photos of my “fade” today vs what my fades typically look like.

I’ve been to Diesel several times and really like how convenient it is to schedule. They usually have several available appointments and even accommodate walk-ins which works well if you have an unpredictable schedule. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming the minute you walk in. They offer you a drink right away and there are some vintage arcade games to keep you occupied while you wait (which usually isn’t very long).

Stopped in on a slow day so I was seated right away. For some reason haircuts start at $40 which is expensive for a male haircut. They come with a hot towel, hair wash, etc., all things I could do without. The haircut was sub par. I had long hair (reached my shoulders) and simply asked for half to be taken away so I can regrow it. It seems like the very first cut was too deep and from there it was a game of fixing the mistake, which resulted in me having a buzzed head. I specifically asked not to go too far because you can always take more off. I have no clue how I went from around 10inches of hair to less than a quarter of an inch when I asked for half to be taken off all around. Now my hair is the shortest its been in literally a decade. The way my ears were cut out was very sloppy too. There’s literally a patch of hair above my right hear where there is a visible mistake. The clippers buzzed about a 1inch x 1inch patch of hair down to my scalp and its very aggravating considering how big it is, how short it is, and the fact that the other side of my head doesn’t have a giant mistake. I get my haircut twice a year but now I have to wait around 8-9 months just to get some hair back. One star rating but I gave it two because they gave me a good beer. Overall I will not be back. Good atmosphere and nice store, bad haircut and $40 poorer

Been going to Katie since we moved to Pittsburgh in July and have had nothing but a great experience each time. I think when it comes to moving for a guy the biggest fear is finding a great barber. Katie takes her time to make sure every detail is to your liking. I have a hair transplant scar so my hair cut to cover that up while still getting my faid to look clean and tight is a very challenging task and she is AMAZING at making sure it looks great and the scar is not visable at all. After my first cut with Katie I even had the security guard at giant eagle stopped me to ask where i get my hair cut. Highly recomend.

Me and my friend went there for my birthday. Amanda was fantastic, we had the full service. They were super busy and we weren’t rushed at all. Grace greated us at the desk with drinks, conversation and a smile and we played some arcade games while we waited. Great vibe, awesome decor, excellent customer service. Highly recommend.

Went in with long hair shoulder length, showed the “barber” a modern messy skin fade and came out looking like shemp from the 3 stooges. This is not a barber shop, barbers do not work here. This is hands down the sloppiest “fade” I’ve ever gotten, choppy and horrible. I paid and left a good tip cause I’m not a P.O.S but hands down will never recommend this place or any of the people that own haír cutting equipment.

Overall this was a terrible experience we made sure to communicate to take a little bit off the top and fade the sides. She took all his hair off and took a chunk out of his front hair line. Then when we spoke up she was upset on how we felt about it. The first picture is how it turned out the second one is how it is suppose to be. He clearly was upset about his hair and didn’t feel comfortable with going to school pictures like this or even walking around.
