Not as good as before, they assigned a new stylish to me who just joined 10 days ago and the English is pretty poor. I showed a picture to her but she can not follow the style. Will not go there anymore. The staff changed so quickly, last time I ordered a Chinese staff who did a great job above my expectations, but he already left there. So sad.

It’s the best salon I have been to. Especially the stylist is amazing and professional. I would recommend that you make an appointment in advance for few weeks. To me surprise, they not only have Japanese stylists but also taiwaness stylist who can speak Chinese. During the covid -19, they keep their profession and passion to customers. It is a great place for me to enjoy my time.

This place is highly recommended by one of my friends. She likes it a lot. She had shoulder length hair. I came here having high hope, with their high price tag. I have thicker and natural wavy hair type, and the whole time the stylist wasn’t that thrilled working in my hair. She does not have experience working with hair outside her comfort zone, that I assume? The salon itself is quite cute though, sadly it didn’t become my go to.

The price is way too expensive compared to the barber’s skills. I used to get my hair cut by a Japanese stylist, but now the salon is not a real Japanese hair salon anymore. Many Japanese stylists left, and my recent experience with it is not that pleasant.

I have been coming to D&H Salon as a regular since 2016. I have sought out far too many Asian influenced salons and D&H was the best you can get when it comes to affordable Asian haircuts in the Bay Area. I made two separate women’s haircut appointments back to back from one another on this occasion. Well, I’m not gonna bore anyone with minor details, but from 1:30pm-3:30pm I was told our “master” stylist would not be able to complete two women’s haircuts. I’m just slightly confused and SUPER disappointed that within a 2 hour time span our “master” stylist was not able to complete 2 women’s haircuts in two hours. Upon my arrival to my surprise I was also told that my appointment was changed from 3:30pm to 3:00pm, because receptionist had already booked another appointment for 3:00pm with no courtesy calls informing me of the changes made to my appointment. D&H really has lost the quality they use to provide to their clients and in customer service.
