I have to start off and say I am late on my review but I love this salon. I have nothing bad to say, the encounters I had with Roz and Ashley was amazing. I love how my two strand twist came out it’s going on two weeks and my hairs is still twisted no issues at all. Very relaxing just the atmosphere in general was amazing. Glad I found them!!

It was the most professional and sweet experience I’ve ever had in ANY salon! I’ve stopped going to the hair salon because it takes all day. When I arrived to my surprise there was no one in the chair when I arrived! My stylist was ready for me. The appointment started/ended on time. I’ve never been in/out of any hair shop in under 4 hours! What’s key about De’Tresse is the re-education on OUR natural hair. The $20 hair consultation is worth every penny! My hair is healthy, long, and soft. They KNOW and CARE! I will be back. I’m so happy and lucky to have found them. Check out their pictures on IG…look at the healthy and long hair these women/children have. Their work speaks for itself! My hair has bounce, flow, and body! LOVE!! These pictures are two strand twists with My hair…no extension/other hair added. I didn’t even know my hair could do this!

The salon charges a consultation fee but doesn’t provide any information about hair type or best products to use for maximum curl. I was asked what questions I have. Also, scheduling is minimal. No one there is DevaCurl, or Rezo cut certified. I was told my hair would be straightened for my cut. No thanks, don’t waste your time or money. If natural hair is their game, specialization in true natural hair care should be practiced. I perceive they specialize in protective styling.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityThis is the 3rd negative experience that I have had with this salon. I went back because I felt like the owner was not knowledgeable of the stylist and maybe she would correct the situation but you can tell that it’s not her intention especially after dealing with the manager. I am the first person to spend my money with people of color. I am really turned off by the service that my son received. Saj was the stylist she rushed through his hair the twist were extremely loose and very messy. My daughter had taken my younger son and was trying her best to inform the manager ( Ashley) with me on FaceTime how displeased I was and she was very rude, she kept cutting her off the she said “you don’t have to tell me your whole story just let me see it”. This may not be of any concern to the business today but eventually when the people you have working in the salon run your customers off you will see how important it is to have CUSTOMER SERVICE values. I had a wonderful experience! Roz and Kierra were sooo sweet and helpful. My hair needed a lot of work and they were able to fit me in same day. They recommended products to get that are easily accessible in drug/grocery stores and were very knowledgeable about hair in general. I will definitely be back to get continue to get my hair back on track. I highly recommend this salon!

Not for short cuts. Folks were nice and I could see this being a great salon if you have longer natural hair to be styled. I’m honestly embarrassed by my haircut (which took over 3 hrs total time here), so much so that I immediately found a barber to fix it. Unfortunately I wasted a great deal of money and time to learn this lesson.

Roz is amazing to say the least. She restarted my locs after I took out a set started by another stylist. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she executed perfectly. I did not feel a thing as she detangled my thick natural hair!!!! I am so glad I found you Roz. Thank you!!

By far one of the best salon experiences I’ve ever had. I love the whole aesthetic of the salon! I got a loc retwist by Ashley, she was very sweet, knowledgeable & had such a welcoming spirit. Everyone I encountered at the salon was welcoming & professional. I’d recommend this salon to everyone.
