Went there for the first time not too long ago. It’s getting time for another haircut… and I’m definitely going back to Details! When I went the first time, I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted for a cut, so I told the stylist to just do whatever she thought would be best. I went in for a basic cut but it looked terrible. Also at one point I looked into the mirror and noticed the woman cutting my hair was looking someplace else as she was using the electric cutter. Also there was another local business owner there being obnoxious. He was apparently a friend of theirs and he was talking loudly about his tattoo business but he was also whining, nagging, and bitching on and on about some other local tattoo guy that he didn’t like. Instead of doing anything about it the barbers in the shop just sort of encouraged him to keep whining. Also I don’t like how a lot of local barbers ask you very personal questions either. Like where I work or do for a living etc. I don’t mind talking about the weather, sports, news, or local events but I don’t think it’s any of their business what I do for a living or anything else. Basically my main problem is that I don’t like the hair cut she gave me and it looks like she gave me some sort of cone head thing. She completely got that basic style wrong which most other barbers have done well on. Anyway I also don’t feel comfortable going to a barber that has what they call “Free beer” Fridays. Even though I drink I just find that unprofessional and more like something you’d find in the deep south. I do realize that the tattoo guy doesn’t represent their business but he was obviously a friend of theirs and they should try to curb what he says while other customers are around. He spent the entire time slamming this other business owner behind his back and for all I know he might have been lying in ear shot so that us customers might avoid his competitor. In any case despite him repeating this other tattoo guys name repeatedly I seem to have forgotten it. I think they should have told him well before now not to bring that whiny baby attitude to their shop and that it may turn customers away. All I know is that I didn’t find the atmosphere there to be very comfortable and the haircut I got sucked. A friend of mine ended up just buzzing it off for me and I’ll just let it grow out again.
