Critical: Professionalism, QualityI asked to schedule to get Havana twist with Georgina. I get there and she’s out of town. Another person is waiting for me! Why didn’t they let me know in advance that she was out!Then the person who started braiding my hair braids too hard and too tight. I begged her to stop the entire time… which resulted in us having an entire argument in the salon. While braiding my hair another client came in and requested her braids be taken out after only having them a few days because the same woman who was braiding mine braided hers and guess what….? THEY WERE TOO TIGHT! I was so mad I just paid and left the shop! I get in the car and realize the twists I have are not even what I asked for… too small and too short as well as too tight and irritating my scalp! I texted them and called back repeatedly and was told call back or we will call you back… and bottom line NOTHING HAPPENED! They refused to make the situation right. During one conversation I asked why did they make them so short… she said they didn’t have the length I wanted! Then why not tell me that before starting!? I love Destiny’s. They go out of their way to mae you feel comfortable. They good people. They are the best in Baton Rouge in my opinion because they are consistent.

The ladies are great I been using this location for years I’m 39year of age they started braiding my hair in high school been out of school since 21years now I still attend this amazing shop but also my girls come and get services as well and they love it this will also be my braiding place for me and my family thank you ladies for over 21years plus services to me the says is true don’t have to be blood to be family not just getting your hair done but u build a relationship with the owner and other ladies we laugh, cry, talk, uplift each others truly a warm welcome away from home and very very clean

First of all I asked them to do the natural style braids with the big square parts, well I was told they don’t last long so I agreed to do the twists braids with wide square part,, well she braided 2 braids and put them on my shoulders and I said the braids are too small, look at the picture, I said I want the big braids with the wide square parts. She said oh ok I got you, The whole time I’m sitting there and wondering what is taking so long, just to see that my hair looks nothing like the picture and no parts are big and not square at all I was so mad I paid and left then I called to say I was not satisfied this looks nothing like what I ask for. All I got out of Destiny’s was an argument and told to not come back. The worse customer service ever. That’s the last dollars they will get from me. If you don’t know how to do a style just say so. The photo on the left is my hair, the photo on the right with the big square parts is what I asked for, my hair is nothing like that.

Very unprofessional. I went to get cornrows to do my own crochet with a middle part. I showed the woman a picture of how it should look so she could do the braid pattern. She did not make the middle part. They were not friendly at all. I paid $40 for nothing. Will NOT be coming back.

Came in with an appointment I made and she said 60$ for wash and blow dry and braids. I get here and they say 60 for the braids only! Then they keep telling me that my hair is to short, and I brought my own hair and was told that I couldn’t use it and that I had to use their hair. I will not be returning here EVER! I have about 60% shrinkage to my hair because of me being natural they didn’t even take the time to asses that. And they speak in their native language so be prepared to wonder of they are talking about you or not. They also eat while doing your hair, salon just is unprofessional. And then I got in the chair and she told me she couldn’t do it

Very low quality hair used for braids. My hair has been braided a couple of weeks and it’s starting to come loose. Over priced for their services! Will not recommending them to anybody and definitely won’t be spending money there again.

Called to make an appt, she said come now, got there waited an hour, then got micro braids and the insides were not micro, had to go back and get them fixed & they were all not FIXED, stated that I would get a discount on my next servuce, every time I called she is “booked”, I guess new money is better than keeping customers, will never go back there. Very disappointed.
