I choose to use the stand up tanning tower which was way nicer and had cooling fans that actually worked unlike the one I used at a different salon a few years ago. The salons are clean and give an overall sense of “liveliness”. Critical: ProfessionalismWe lived locally for many years and then moved away, however returned for holidays and decided to tan prior to a vacation as a gift to ourselves. We went in and easily signed up and prepaid for two weeks of tanning.First two visits? Great. The weather changed, and we called ahead to see if hours would change. There was no answer, but the answering machine said come on in if you receive the message, they could be cleaning beds. We drove 15 minutes into town to tan and then found a closed shop. Knowing driving might be hard we were disappointed but understood. People need to get home safely.Next morning we called to double check about reduced hours, and were told they are sure to be open until 6pm. Come in any time, they had to leave to get home safely the night before. We again drove in, arrived at 5:50 for ten minute tans to find them locked and closed.Next morning. Call in to ask what happened after we confirmed hours. It was explained then that final tanning appointments are 5:30 (never told that before) and the same hours worked that day We ran errands and planned out times to be there at 5:30. We arrived at 5:31. We were told to leave..At this point we were just trying to get any tan, so decided to go midday to get tans in so we didn’t burn on our vacation, so arrived at 2:30. Guess what? Yep, closed.So, we called a competitor to get tans, and guess what? They were open the hours they said, explained last appointments, promised they changed voicemail messages and Google hours completely different experience.Did we get any decent reply from Desert Sun? No, their only reply we got was maybe we should have had signed up for email promotions to get updates. Seriously? No thanks, NEVER again.
