Olympia location is great. Tumwater is dirty. (Lots of hairs and dirt under plastic in silver bed). They told me they are under new management overall though, so things should improve with that location. New policy won’t allow you to make appointment though. I pay lots of money per month for my membership and I’m a busy person. I don’t have time to wait in line to spray tan, red light, or tan. This might make me end my membership. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to the closest location, and I typically plan my tans around events I’m attending. The no appointment policy is a huge inconvenience. Otherwise generally happy experience. Except Tumwater. Never again.

Lacey in the Olympia location was amazing. She was so kind, friendly, and welcoming. I haven’t gone tanning in over a decade so I really appreciate the time and thoroughness she took to educate me on the variety of packages and differences between services AND products. I didn’t feel like I was “just another sale”, but rather her client. She was great and am looking forward to continuing to go here. I also appreciated the cleanliness and lack of clutter. The location was very tidy and clean.

I’m not sure if the bulbs are bad or if im getting bad recommendations or what exactly but I’ve gone here to use full time platinum and full time gold and I have 4 different lotions I have tried and nothing seems to be getting me any darker. Also the last few girls either didn’t seem to know what they were doing and or were very unwelcoming. I’ve been to other locations and had no problem getting color or good customer service but this specific location I seem to get basically no color or decent customer service.

Desert Sun Tanning is one of the best tanning companies I have ever experienced. They are a local company out of Kirkland which I think is pretty cool. The staff has always been very nice and professional and takes ownership of any sort of customer service experience. I’m sure from the other negative reviews it could have been a bad example because overall the staff is always very professional and hard working. They have some of the best promotions out of any tanning company I have seen. The Red light therapy is awesome as well. The gold beds are my favorite for the price. I’m going there today and looking forward to it. Thanks Desert Sun Tanning for being an excellent company based in the Puget Sound.

I would rate this place a 0 if I could. After my visit today I will NOT be returning. I “stopped” the bed early and it didn’t actually stop which to my surprise highlighted the filth in this facility. I’m disgusted at the lack of cleaning provided!!! The dust built up on the floor behind the door and on the door, on the table and under the table, in every corner including the walls. This makes me question the cleanliness of the beds that I use. I wish I could post the pictures. (See Facebook or yelp reviews!)
