Skin Care Clinic
Acne
We will develop multifaceted, individualized treatment plans which will effectively treat your acne and enable you to put your best face forward.
Actinic Keratoses
Actinic keratoses are rough, raised spots on the skin that frequently occur on areas which have had significant sun exposure such as the face, scalp, ears, hands, and upper chest. Actinic keratoses are considered to be precursors of skin cancer.
Dry Skin
Dry skin is extremely common in Colorado because of our climate. Dryness of the skin can cause painful cracks/fissures, itching, and eczema.
Dysport®
We use Dysport® to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.
Moles
Moles are common and can vary in color from flesh-colored or pink to dark brown or black. Moles are more common in fair-skinned individuals and the average Caucasian has between 10 and 40 moles on his/her skin. People who have numerous (greater than 100) moles are at an increased risk of melanoma (mole cancer).
Pediatric Dermatology
At Dermatology Specialists we diagnose and treat all of the common dermatologic ailments that affect children including, but not limited to, birthmark/mole checks, warts, molluscum, acne, and eczema.
Pregnancy-Related Skin Changes
There are many common changes that occur with pregnancy including melasma (pigmentation or “mask of pregnancy”), angiomas, acne, and stretch marks (striae). Our skin experts can help come up with a treatment plan for these conditions before, during, and after pregnancy.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a non-contagious rash that most commonly occurs on the elbows, knees, and scalp, but can occur anywhere on the body.
Rosacea/Redness
Patients with rosacea may have red, sensitive skin, pimples, dry or irritated eyes. Common triggers are sun stress, spicy food, hot beverage, alcohol and exertion.
Sun Damage
Over time, sun exposure causes dark spots, wrinkling, rough spots, and eventually can lead to skin cancers.
Vitiligio
Vitiligo is thought to be caused by an auto-immune destruction of the pigment cells. Please ask us about treatment options.
Warts
Warts are skin growths caused by a virus and are common in all age groups. We have many approaches that are very effective in treating this condition.

This was my first time visiting a Dermatologist. I felt like I was rushed to be gone after they took three biopsies and pretty much gave me no information even after my questions. A “summary” of what they did would have been accommodating. They gave me “after”instructions. (Three biopsies and no compassion after mentioning “cancer”). I was told I would get “results” after (about a week). It took me approximately 40 minutes to get to this appointment. So I had to drive home afterwards feeling stressed and anxious. I just think they could be more compassionate and caring.

Just wanna give a shout out to Joanna Baskett PA-C for the experience as a first time patient. Joanna Baskett PA performed a professional job and a thorough exam from head to toe and ask questions and explain what she came across, during the exam. She used a magnifying glass and took care to examine and biopsy areas of concern. Her assistance, Sue, was professional in recording the information on IPad. Both providers made me feel very welcome with their bedside manner. Office & exam room or clean and they followed Covid protocols. Big bowl of Hershey Nuggets chocolate candy was a welcoming site as I exited my appointment in the lobby!!
