Went here for discoloration of my skin an hair loss. Was looked at by Kaitlyn she suggested doing a biopsy on my scalp and to try creams over the counter and find some mom’s on Facebook that knew a dermatologist that specializes in black skin??? Aren’t dermatologist dermatologist no matter the skin I felt rejected I felt I got no help why not at least try a cream for my skin an hair before you reach for the most painful and if over the counter creams were working why would I reach out to a dermatologist I came looking for help solutions got none..anyone can go to Walmart to by creams that May May not work but to be told to find a group of moms on Facebook who may lead me to a dermatologist for my skin was distasteful. I wasn’t aware that dermatologist worked with certain skin. Then on my way out her nurse pulled me to the side embarrassed an said try UT Southwestern they may have some dermatologist that can help you. Smh I work in healthcare and imagine me telling someone in triage I can’t help you because of color. I want my money back I will be sharing this with my insurance company to not send their black disabled Medicare patients there she don’t do our skin shame on you.definitely going to share my experience on FB as she suggested I look for a dermatologist there pitiful.
