I have been coming to Dermatology Consultants for many years, my previous doctor retired from the group and I was then assigned Dr Cortney White and she is the best. My all time favorite of all of the dermatologists I have seen on my life. Very empathetic, kind, professional, doesn’t keep you waiting at your appointment. I highly recommend her and the group.

I love Dr. Barlow and have been seeing her for years. I truly believe she is one if the best Dermatologist’s in the Twin Cities. However, the scheduler, Tammy at the Egan clinic is incredibly rude and disrespectful. I have never been treated so poorly while attempting to schedule an appointment.

My experience was nothing short of amazing. It seems at this time that everyone is trying to see a dermatologist. I really appreciate the willingness and patience of the reception staff despite the workload they faced as well as Dr. Larson, who was gracious and very informative throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend this establishment.

I have seen Dr. Cortney White for years, she is absolutely outstanding. That being said I called in early September for a yearly exam to be scheduled in late November when I return to Minnesota briefly for Thanksgiving. I was told there was nothing until January,2022. I have a history of skin cancer so yearly exams are recommended. All the scheduler could offer was for me to call back when I am in town which is ludicrous given how far out they are scheduling. It does not seem that patient care is a priority. Since I want to see Dr. White I will try to schedule something next year and hope there are no issues but this was a frustrating experience. I have subsequently been able to schedule appointments in a timely manner by calling the office directly.

Dr Barlow is a fabulous Doctor, but when you have seen a Doctor for several years and can’t get in for six months for a simple mole check…this is unacceptable! There is no waitlist for cancellations and they have you call in everyday to check cancellations.

I saw Dr. Barlow in June and she diagnosed a basal cell carcinoma on my nose. Dr. Joe Shaffer removed it on Monday, Aug. 13. My experience with both of them was phenomenal. Very compassionate and caring. Dr. Shaffer answered questions I had tonight (2 days post procedure) after hours. How many doctors do that? This was so stressful and they really took time to explain everything to me and acknowledge that it is an emotionally difficult thing to deal with. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. My experience with the front office and business office has been good as well, so I’m not sure what the other reviewers are referring to. Don’t pass them over because of that. If I could give 6 stars I would!

I saw Dr. Joe Shaffer for the first time for a Mohs surgery on my face. It was discovered from a different dermatologist , whom of which I cannot recommend from a different company. Dr Joe has this aura about him that puts you at ease the minute he walks in the room. His confidence and assuring puts you at ease immediately which is very comforting when you’re in a high stress situation of unknowing. For me it was a one and done procedure and at no time did I feel any discomfort. Stitches just came out and looks like it would be a very tiny scar, I’m excited to see how it heals. I give him the highest of recommendations and will continue to see his wife for my skin care.

I love Dr. Barlow, but I waited months to see her originally. When I tried to get an appointment recently, I was told there was a 6 week wait. Fair enough, she’s a good doctor. However, when I asked to be called if there was a cancellation, I was told the clinic does not have a cancellation service: too many doctors in too many locations! In this day and age, that response is uncacceptable. I will not return.

Doctor Cortney White is great. She has treated my acne, epidermoid cyst, and hair loss now at this point. The results have been astounding. Dr. White is both knowledgeable and respectful, but she is also willing to give you honest advice. She’s my go to dermatologist for anything!
