Needs a major update. I was so excited to find a new spa after moving to the area. I received a gift certificate for Christmas and couldn’t wait to get pampered a little. I worked in a salon/spa for 18 yrs so maybe my expectations are too high. I don’t know, but when I walked in I immediately noticed the place is very out-dated. Definitely needs an overhaul. The receptionist (who I later found out was the manager) was friendly and led me back to the waiting area. My facial was wonderful as was the esthetician, Marilyn. I chose the top facial and felt it was worth it. Next up was my massage. The room was in poor condition. Broken light fixture on the wall, scotch tape on the light switch, etc but the worst part was the massage table. It was squeaking and creaking very loudly every time the technician made a move. I mentioned it in the beginning of the massage and she agreed with me and apologized. I kind of wondered why she didn’t offer me another bed. We continued on but I was unable to relax because of the loud creaking . The technician kept apologizing throughout the entire service. All I could think about was I wished it would be over. It was such a disappointment and was a huge let down after my great facial. When it finally ended and I went to check out I explained to the manager how my experience was and she gave me a whole story about how they have an obese customer who regularly visits and must have broken that table. She said I should have spoken up about it but since I received the service, they need my money to pay the technician. She said it’s not the spa’s fault. Well it certainly isn’t the customers fault! I am still in shock that I was treated that way. After nearly 20 years in the customer service industry I expect the same level of service I have always given. I will it not return and will continue my search for something worth the money. Beware, this is not a high end spa by any stretch of the imagination.

Through the years I have spent a lot of money at Derma Technique. I booked an appointment with Rochelle for our anniversary for a massage, we show up and Naz said we were not booked for today but for April 9th which we already have other plans that day. Naz said she could give us 15 minutes but as far as I am concerned, that is not enough. Terrible customer service. Me and my husband did not get our massage. Had we known this, we could have booked with someone else. We were both really looking forward to it. They will not be getting anymore of my money!

My massage, sea scrub, facial and nails were perfect!! I will make this my go to place for any spa treatment I need!! They always made sure I had a drink, and was taken care of.

Critical: ProfessionalismDisclaimer: only about manager!! Everyone else is amazing.Because I don’t see my comment I made a year ago: this place use to be amazing. However, the manager is the WORST. My parents bought me a coupon for my birthday and the manager wrote the wrong dates. So when I went in for my present, she did not honor the certificate. A WEEK LATER, she finally budged and we got all my money back. And when I did use to go here, even the employees complained that they were never able to choose the music and the manager always had it on the highest volume. So the experience was rarely relaxing. Overall, I kept going for my two favorite professionals (who are now no longer there). But the manager experience was the last straw. *if there’s a NEW manager this does not apply towards them*Disclaimer: only about manager!!
