I’ve been seeing Marissa since she started at DB and am always overly impressed by her skillset. If you’re a blonde, she is your girl. No brassiness, and my hair always feels healthy after being highlighted by her. Truly OBSESSED with her work! I also saw Kelly at DB and absolutely loved the outcome of my highlights and cut. I will forever trust these two with my hair!

I’m usually not the one to write reviews about places, but I couldn’t help myself on this one. I went to DB for the first time a few weeks ago and got highlights done by Jordan. Although he is very kind, I don’t think he truly knows what he is doing when it comes to hair. I showed him a couple of photos for hair inspiration and he confidently agreed that he knew what to do. I had gotten my hair done in Dec. 2021 and just wanted a root touch-up as my hair had grown out more than usual within the span of a couple of months. He said that I should do a full highlight which I passively agreed to (not sure why I did but whatever). Anyways, I left the salon a little iffy on my hair as it was a lot blonder than I asked for and the roots were very dark. In other words, it truly didn’t look like anything different had been done besides a few lighter pieces in the front. A couple of days later I realized that I hated my hair and needed to get it fixed. Jordan was very accommodating and allowed me to come back in to get it toned down. All in all, I had to drive 1 hr 30 mins back to Chicago to get my hair done, and unfortunately, I am not that much happier after getting it fixed. It still looks pretty much the same and the roots feel even darker. There is no blending of the roots which is what I asked for. Overall, I just don’t think Jordan is a great listener when it comes to making sure his client’s wishes are met and I think being a little inexperienced contributes to this. On top of all of this, the price to get highlights done was over $400––the most expensive I have EVER gotten by a landslide. I wouldn’t recommend Dennis Bartolomei. Save your money and find a better hairstylist somewhere else.

Worst place I have ever been. Just moved to River North set up an appointment with Miller.. got there sat down and he said he didn’t feel comfortable doing my hair because I have darker hair and I wanted highlights so he made me feel beyond uncomfortable and then left me in the chair and I had to go up to the front and tell them I guess he doesn’t feel comfortable doing my hair. DO NOT GO. Long story short I didn’t get my hair done that I had scheduled and no one else had an opening. Just couldn’t believe he left me sitting in the chair and didn’t come back.
