Kari was awesome! Very professional, very knowledgable. She made my hair look fantastic! Had a great conversation while she was doing it. I couldn’t find a conversation she wasn’t well versed in. From supernatural to batman to star wars to my little pony. And also anime! It was a delight to be there. I left with the best hair cut I have ever had.

I had been a loyal customer to the business for 5 years, coming mostly to get haircuts. This time, I wanted to get a color. I did show the picture on the left (w/ the red Pinterest logo) to Lorrie, the only stylist I have been going to. I did express that I didn’t want to go too light with the blonde tones, I wanted mainly a spectrum of the browns but STILL did want some blondes also. Which is why I chose the picture I did since it was something I would be comfortable in, it not being too intense with really bright blonde tones. After that, she did her thing, but upon her finishing up, I did notice that it was much darker than I wanted. She didn’t spin the chair around & give a mirror to see the back, so I really couldn’t tell 100%, but I trusted her work as I had been going here for so long. I did mention it as we were still in her booth, & upon checking out, but not much was really said. So that evening, I looked at it closer, and noticed it wasn’t what I asked so I contacted her & told her how I felt, adding how maybe I somewhere may have just miscommunicated & I asked if I could get it corrected. All she said was that she was at a loss for words, it was because of what I said, & the toner would lighten but I was actually talking about why it overall wasn’t the lighter brunette shade. All in all, she made me feel very disregarded as she refused to answer most of my messages, refused to sit me back down soon (since she didn’t have “anything available for weeks”) without charging me yet again, and refused to give a refund for the coloring. As someone who has been a returning client, I’m so disappointed at how she handled the situation since clearly its not about making customers happy, its about making money. It is true as how another reviewer said she takes phone calls in the middle of your appointment, and will check others out as she is still with you. She does also talk to other people while you are still in her seat, so overall maybe I should’ve seen the signs to go elsewhere. I’m upset about how this was handled, especially her being a business owner but hopefully she will see how it affects others & make a change for her business & clients. I will also add that I don’t feel like the end results are ugly or anything by any means. I do think its nice, it just is simply not what I had requested at all.

Lorrie Caballero is THE BEST stylist! This woman is truly gifted. Not only did she rock my hair, but she was once my personally-appointed hair guru for a performance art/hair show I direct, and she single-handedly rocked the heads of 20+ people! That’s a serious gift. And, if I trusted her with my show and every performer/model in it, that says a lot. I can’t speak highly enough of her, but I can certainly highly recommend her. If you’re looking for someone new, look no further. *And I have natural curl that I sometimes rock and other times tame, so she can work with any texture.

After leaving my last appointment, I was on a shuttle to a Tech basketball game and the 20-something-year-old guy next to me and I struck up a conversation. In the course of the conversation, I mentioned I had just left a hair appointment and he said, “Well it was worth every penny. Your hair looks great!” Mission accomplished, Lorrie. This 50-something-year-old’s hair has never looked better. And my husband agrees.
