I called for a last minute appointment, which she was able to provide. However, all I needed was a root touch up. My other hairdresser couldn’t get me in for at least another week. So I scheduled with Carmen. It took her two attempts, for a simple root touch up! She explained that one process was not enough. I said ok, because I’m thinking, that’s never been the case at my other salon but do what you need to. Again, this was not a full head color but only roots to be covered. After rinsing, blowing dry, styling, I’m thinking $150 maximum. She rang me up for $275, and I paid. But I couldn’t walk out of her door without asking is thus a normal fee for a root touch up. She said the higher rate was because of trying to process twice, therefore more color was used. But next time it wouldn’t be so much!! It’s not my fault one process wasn’t enough! My other hairdresser never charges more that $95 for everything – one process and done. Lesson learned – there will never be a “next time” with Carman.

Excellent! I’ve been going here since high school. When I moved out of town and had to find a new place, my hair was destroyed. I came back making the drive to Del Carmen’s, the place that does my hair right every time. Carmen fixed my hair! I have a thick head of hair, probably twice as thick as the average hair is. I find I am charged fairly for the amount of skill and work required to do my blonde hair. I highly recommend coming here!

I checked online and found Del Carmen’s Hair Studio, and got a last minute appointment. I’ve been having a lot of problems with my hair after having a baby, and wanted to cut a lot off. What I loved is she gave her advice of what hairstyles are more in now and what will work with my hair. I have to say she did a fantastic job, and I am loving my haircut! On another note, with all the virus craziness going on, I felt very safe. Carmen had her face shield on and the studio seemed very clean.

I had an uneven haircut when I came to Carmen for a hair cut, (but the haircut I had was 100 times better than what Carmen did to my hair) and asked her if she could cut the front of my hair to blend it better. Carmen said the problem was that my hair was too thick, and needed to be texturized. Carmen proceeded to pick up the thinning shears, and that’s what she used for the entire haircut. There was no blending of my hair, it was just thinning my entire head of hair. When I came to Carmen I had plenty of length on top to even it out and texturize some, but now it is so short, and so thin, you can see my scalp in several places. Additionally, my hair is uneven, and 1/4” to 1”
