Had my eyelashes lifted and tinted. A couple days later had my eyebrows laminated, tinted and shaped. I wanted to have all this done right before the septorhinoplasty I had so I’d feel as confident as I could with a bruised bandaged face. I thought of doing this last minute- the place I usually go to was booked so I figured why not try dekalash. They are super close and have a lot of openings that work with my schedule. At first I was really happy with my lashes. Only annoying thing was that the tech couldn’t get the glue off my eyelid. She tried like 4 times and it was still sticky when I left. Unlike somewhere else that I usually get my eyelashes lifted/tinted, I wasn’t given a spoolie to brush them so I ended up having to use a tiny hair comb (a couple days later I got a spoolie and have been using that multiple times everyday). Turns out my eyelashes looked good when I left but there had to have been chemicals still left on because they ended up being stiff and stuck together the first couple times I tried to brush them. A couple sections are clearly over processed because they curl so far back they practically disappear in my eyelid and some are going all different directions- many are sideways or even down into my eye. Some refuse to go in a normal direction no matter what I did/do so I had to pluck them because they wouldn’t stop stabbing my eye. Literally 3 weeks later and I’m STILL struggling with lashes going insane directions stabbing my eyes. I’ve had my eyelashes tinted and lifted many times before (at two different places) and this time was nothing like I’ve had before. As for my brows: I’ve never had lamination before so I was nervous. When I left they were a bit dark but she said that was because the oil she put on them. The next day or so they looked lighter and I loved them! Minus the small patch that shouldn’t have been waxed off (I brush them just the right way I can hide it). I use the oil every morning and brush them with a spoolie like she said. I naturally have TERRIBLE eyebrows and they have never looked better than they did having them laminated. Not sure if the lamination is supposed to make them coarse but they felt/feel like straw. Starting to see the lamination fade and their direction go back to natural now. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend dekalash for the lash tint/lift. Maybe they’re awesome with everything else, or my experience was unusual? The technicians were VERY nice, place was clean and relaxing, good music, but $215 plus $40 tip for what I got (all services), and have to continue dealing with? My hopes of feeling confident post surgery because of my lashes and brows definitely didn’t go as planned… didn’t expect to have my eyelashes being a cause of pain too! Also: I would have gone back to see if they could correct or undo what happened but having had my face cut open/rearranged and avoiding anyone but myself touching it/being in a ton of pain means unfortunately I couldn’t/can’t.
