Carmie is the best. I met with her about the tattoo and process before scheduling a date. Carmie was patient as I sent her ideas of what I liked. We settled on a date and time. When I showed up early, Carmie was doing the drawing and coloring. She showed me the design, which I loved. She then printed it in three sizes so we could decide on size and placement. Once I found what I liked, she created the transfer. Again, she took time to make sure I liked the placement. During the process, she made sure I was comfortable. It’s beautiful and a work of art. I’ve received compliments on it several times. Thank you Carmie.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI have gotten 3 of my tattoos and 3 piercings there from Mel. She is amazing and very supportive. I’m a big baby and she knows how to work with me. My mother passed on a Mon and I called her with an idea for a memorial tattoo for her. She took my idea and made it awesome. She also did it the same week to help me heal emotionally. Mel did my husband’s tattoo for his mother as well as several others for him. She has also helped my daughter overcome her self harming. I will always look at her as someone I respect and trust. Love ya Mel and everyone at Deaf Dog. Attached is the tree of life tat of my husbands with the mother’s knot for his mother, mine and my daughter’s tattoos that helped her begin to heal, and my memorial for my mom.I have gotten 3 of my tattoos and 3 piercings there from Mel. I started going to Deaf Dog when they first opened and were behind the skating rink. They are the best around and it shows. Since the first time I went there, I never went to another shop. I moved to Arkansas at one point and still came in town JUST for Mel to tattoo me. I’ve had quite a few tattoos done there, but my sleeve is my most noticable piece and I get compliments ALL the time! It’s a few years old now and still looks brand new. I’ll always go there to get work done, everyone there is amazing artists!

I have to say, I have gotten a few tattoos in the past, from Mel, and the experience was Amazing. She is wonderful, and I loved her work. She is no longer there, which is a bummer, but I still came in the other day. I called and asked if someone would be free to do a small tattoo, quarter size, and the receptionist said “sure, come on in and we’ll see who’s available.” Never mentioned anything about price. Came in and waited about an hour, which was fine, for an apprentice. There were other artists free, just sitting around talking smack on other customers, but still I waited. When Megan came out, she was super nice and I showed her what I wanted. It was a simple stamp I got from a concert the night before, so didn’t even require her to do anything or make a copy on the paper. I gave the receptionist my ID and again, nothing was mentioned about price. I had seen another client come out with a fairly larger tattoo on her arm and the artist charged her $130, so I just assumed my small stamp wouldn’t be more than $50. I was wrong. It was partly my mistake for not asking how much before she started, but after waiting an hour I just wanted to get it done. As I said, Megan was nice but the stamp started coming off, so she had to wing it and seemed a little nervous. It was only AFTER the tattoo (which took less than 5 minutes) dis she ask “Did they tell you how much it would be?? There is a shop minimum of $100”! What?? Um, no. Not once did anyone mention this “shop rule” which is not posted ANYWHERE in the shop, nor was it posted in the paperwork I signed. Had I known they were going to charge so much for so little ink, I would have gotten something added to it. When I mentioned this to the receptionist, she pointed me to the owner who just kept saying “Yeah, we’re pretty flexible with our prices, but have to charge a minimum of $100.” I asked if I could add something now to get my money’s worth, or come back another day, and he said I’m out of time. I’m very disappointed that I paid so much for so little ink, and they were unwilling to work with me. (And of course have to add a tip, I’m not a jerk lol). Needless, I won’t be back.

I have several tattoos from Deaf Dog Ink. I like the private rooms. Mel inked me and we had good conversations while she was inking. I love they use tagaderm bandage after the work. I still have not met the Mascot dog. They have cool events and donate to the community.

From the second my daughter and I walked in the door I knew we came to the right place. The staff were amazing and accommodating in helping with make my daughters first tattoo, the perfect experience. Jason did a great job and made her feel comfortable the whole sitting (She picked her rib cage for her first tattoo haha). The lady at the front desk, I’m sorry I didn’t get your name, was funny and full of life (Don’t judge a book by its cover ) I can’t say enough about Jason and his staff! After getting home I read up on their shop. Love them even more! What they do for the veterans, animal shelters and more, is nothing short of amazing!!! Keep up the great work all and we will see you soon. Worth the drive from Eureka!
