I chose this salon due to its ‘Curly hair specialist’ sign out front. While the owner Rick, who is also the curly hair specialist, was friendly and welcoming- I think this place is best suited to older fashion/styles (think turning curls into big waves). The general premise seemed to be that curly haired clients disliked their curls and wanted to enhance with curling wand or flat iron straight. Modern curly methodology/techniques are not here. All in all, the cut was good, not terrible. It works for a basic shaping cut for curly hair but at $45 I don’t think I will be going back.

Rick DeJames and his wife have been running this shop for decades. I’ve been using them for 2 years, ever since a friend recommended them. Absolutely perfect haircuts, super respectful and very friendly service, and an intelligent, well educated person who can talk about more than the weather or yesterday’s game, and will challenge you intellectually. I have often stayed behind to continue the talk. Highly recommended, you’ll never want to cut your hair anywhere else!

I have had Keratin treatments done at this salon several times. Renee does an excellent job. Unlike treatments I had in the past, my hair is not sticky and does not smell bad when she’s done. Highly recommend!
