I’ve been going to Vivian at DC Nail Spa every two weeks for the past 3 years. I have tipped 40% every single time. On Friday 11/18 I got my usual dip manicure with tips for $85. On Saturday 11/19, two nails broke. Today, 11/20, another nail broke. When this has happened in the past, I would just go in and get them fixed. However, I am out of town for the holiday and will need to get a new manicure. I called the salon to ask if they’d be able to refund the manicure since it lasted one single day. Not only did they say no, but they LAUGHED at me on the phone, cracking up when I asked why they couldn’t do anything to help me. I will NEVER go back to this salon and I will share my experience with friends I have referred to them. I truly cannot believe they treated me like this after so many loyal years and generous tipping. Really disappointing.

This nail salon is the BEST I’ve experienced in 11 years in DC. I go to Thao, and she knows every shape and design I want before I can even explain it. She takes her time, making sure every finger matches. She’s incredibly kind and patient. And they’re very good at pricing!

I’m not gonna lie, I was kind of bummed with the services I received here. I wanted to give myself a treat after a long week and after I saw all of the glowing reviews for DC Nail SPA, I made an appointment. The service felt nothing like the reviews. Super rushed, not much attention to detail, and when all was said and done, my nails looked mega wonky at the end. the top coat looked bubbly and splotchy, at some point the nail tech touched my nail with the top coat on the check and see if it was dry and since the polish was fully wet, it stuck to her finger and she didn’t fix it!

Eva is amazing (and everyone else who has done my nails actually)! I’ve been going to this salon for 5+ months and it’s great quality every time. There is really great attention paid to every step of the process. I tried a few salons when I moved to DC in 2021. My nails last 3+ weeks here EVERY TIME (dip powder) compared to other salons where my nails were chipping or worse—breaking off completely. Their nail polish selection is endless. The salon is very clean. Their staff is friendly. There’s incentives for discounts (paying in cash, birthdays, points for visits, etc). Overall a great experience! Try them.

I had the most disappointing experience for the first time with DC nail spa. They gave me Wendy and I can seriously say she is the worst person working at this place. She doesn’t care if she hurts you and is always in a rush. I saw someone else mentioning Wendy cut them and I was praying this doesn’t happen to me. My skin had cuts and was bleeding throughout. She was so harsh and didn’t care to be careful even after I said she was going too harsh. To make matters worse, she didn’t file properly and even messed up my gel manicure completely. I came out disappointed and with cuts and an awful manicure which is completely uneven. If you can, avoid Wendy. And as a recommendation to the business, please get rid of her. You have some really nice people who know how to do a good job, and then someone like Wendy is giving you a bad reputation for long standing customers.

Wendy was quick! Got a simple gel mani, she did great, her work was very neat and she shaped my nails beautifully. Only thing was I did get a small cut from the filer but she was quick to clean it up and was very careful after.
