I’ve been going to this salon for years and I have to say this was my worst experience with Cina. I normally do balayage and Cina persuaded me to do a full head of highlights to achieve a more “full” look of blonde highlights. Now, my hair will basically color free except for the tips, so she was working with a blank canvas since the old color was all grown out. Cina kept saying the color was lightening up beautifully and I was so blonde etc etc. fast forward, no toner was put in my hair because the color was “perfect”. I didn’t end up getting blow dried there so when I went home I saw the disaster of brassiness and my roots looked like it’s been months of grow out, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. The highlights were also sporadic and not full at all. For the amount I paid, and for the quality of service that I received just didn’t match.

Wow! I purchased a Groupon for a cut and face frame highlights. I was lucky enough to be hooked up with Kimmi as my stylist. To start with, this place is bright and spacious and the staff are all friendly and inviting. As I filled out the simple form, Kimmi came to greet me with a huge smile and warm spirit. She immediately made me feel comfortable, i knew I was in good hands. She explained, in detail, everything she was doing to my hair and offered suggestions to my requests. I am loving the results. Far exceeded my expectations. A great hairstylist is hard to find, a great hairstylist with the charisma and goodness of Kimmi is a gift. Already made my next appointment!!

I used their services and I always tried single process and haircut. This time I went for balayage. in one word, THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO DO BALAYAGE. I showed my stylist Christina that what I wanted, and I always like dark ash on my hair, she told me she can do it and she started the process but from the beginning the process was totally wrong. Instead of using hair painting technique for Balayage, she did regular highlights from roots. Even though before she start, I told her several times I don’t want my roots to be colored, she replied that she knows what she is doing. After she was done with my hair and she dried the front part of my hair to show me the color, I told her it is too blond and I wanted dark ash brown, she said we can darken my hair and she did (she charged my almost $20 for her mistake too). but the result was totally something else. And they charged me $415 for the process that I didn’t want.

Professional, clean, and classy… with such great service I barely felt guilty about making my maids get up at 8 AM on a Saturday! The staff was extremely accommodating: they made sure every detail was taken care of and that I was satisfied with my final look. I came with 12 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, my mom, and future MIL in tow and DE made sure everyone had a comfortable spot while waiting their turn. They even provided individual stations for the maids who opted out of the salon services so that they may do their own makeup. Most importantly, because of them, I was actually ON TIME for my wedding despite having to get so many women through “glam” … (well, I was late to the actual wedding but we finished early at the salon! lol.) This is no small feat – I have been a bridesmaid in large wedding parties and timing in the morning can quickly become a major issue. But DE rose to the occasion, made sure that I had enough artists and chairs, and kept the group on a timely schedule… it was a small miracle to be perfectly honest and removed a lot of stress from the day. Plus, there is just something fun about drinking mimosas with the girls at a salon, especially one as nice as DE. Oh, and my hair and makeup came out fantastic and lasted throughout the entire night!
