He is a certified Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Minnesota. After practicing in the area for nine years, Dr. Darabi opened his private dermatology clinic, Skin Professionals West, P.C., now renamed Darabi Dermatology, to provide high-quality dermatology and Mohs skin cancer surgery care in a patient-centered private practice setting. Dr. Darabi is excellent. I was a long-time patient from his previous practice and decided to follow him to his new practice. When I showed up for my first visit though, the receptionist told me I’d have to drive home (30 minutes) and get my insurance card. I had scanned it into their system prior to the visit so didn’t think I’d need it. I suppose policy is policy, but she was so aggressive and unyielding about it. Very off-putting. I did drive back home, but didn’t drive back.

I had a great experience today. I went in to have 2 suspicious spots examined and removed. Everyone was professional and kind. The Doctor was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. He discussed everything about the procedure first and he also did a cosmetic consultation regarding something else completely. He had some good suggestions on a plan moving forward and was clear about the cost of those procedures since they are cosmetic and not covered by my insurance. Then he performed the 2 excisional biopsies I had gone in for. It was quick and painless. Aftercare was explained clearly and I was bandaged up and ready to go in a total of 25 minutes since my arrival. I will definitely be going back.
