What’s unfortunate is that this is really the only place locally that has experience with autistic children. That is the only reason we have continued to go there for the last 6 years. There used to be a stylist named Alicia there and she was fantastic! Once she left though, terrible. Sam the owner, is just not a friendly person. She is rude to both children and parents. Kids with sensory issues have different needs and just because you have provided them services before doesn’t mean you SHOULD or that they were good. Very condescending and rather uncomfortable to watch her with our son. Judging by my personal experience, friends experiences, and other reviews on here, she is like this with other people as well. Will only ever go here again if we don’t have the time to take the drive to Snip It’s.

Just went for a friends birthday party. The girls loved it!!! They treated each of them like princesses. They did hair, nails, makeup, and glitter body tattoos. Each of the girls got to make a lip gloss or body scrub to take home. They then gave each girl a skirt (birthday girl a special one), and they walked a fashion show. The party room was small but well decorated. The place was hard to spot because its tucked away in the corner of the shopping plaza not visible from the street.

Had my 6 year old daughter’s ears pierced by Mary and Sam. They were sweet and gentle with my daughter, were very particular about marking the spot for the piercings symmetrically ahead of time, and had me check to make sure I liked the spot. I was able to watch everything being prepped to make sure it was clean, they wore gloves, and were thorough about cleaning my daughter’s ears ahead of time. They have a cute selection of earrings to choose from. Both ears were pierced simultaneously, so very quick for my daughter! I was able to stand right in front of her and hold her hands. They gave me after-care supplies and written directions which they reviewed with me. The atmosphere and decor are very fun and sweet – my daughter had a great experience and I’m very glad we went with Daisy Door’s!

I always get so many compliments on my hair cut I love that she has experience with adults and children. It makes it easy for me to get my hair done at the same time as my kids. Great staff and great service! My only complaint is that they need a POS system that allows for tipping with credit/debit card payments. I don’t typically have cash on me, and I sometimes forget to bring cash for a tip. I feel terrible walking out of there without tipping, but this is a business where tipping is customary, so it baffles me that they wouldn’t have a system that allows for it. This a disservice to the employees.

Very disappointed! Reached out to them through FB, asked if they had any experience with autistic children and listed a little info on my sons needs. They responded quickly stating yes they did and that I should book an appointment with Samantha and leave her a note about my son. I booked an appointment, left a note in the comment section of the appointment that my son was autistic and FREAKS out about clippers but does tolerate scissor cuts pretty well. Got there, the woman wasn’t very personable for working with kids, sits him down and pretty much goes at him with clippers right off the bat! I said, I’m sorry i had mentioned on my appointment that he doesn’t do well with clippers, to which she replied yeah he just needs to get used to them, he’ll be fine you’ll see and tries to get him to hold the clippers and “get used to them”. Needless to say, it did not go well, he was starting to melt down and started hitting. I was trying to use my parental guidance to calm him down and she says, “okay i’m going to ask you to sit over there for me.” I watched for a couple more minutes and again stated, he does better with scissors, she finally decided to try the scissors but by this point he had ZERO trust in her and wanted no part of her or a haircut! I’ve debated for a few days about whether or not to post this review but I finally decided it was important at least for future ASD parents to know in advance what they are possibly walking into. This woman clearly has not sense of what sensory issues involve and should really take some time to understand them if she is going to continue to work with children with them. Oh and also take into consideration what the PARENT is telling her since we obviously know our child best!
