I have natural 4c hair and they did an amazing job straightening my hair. Everyone was polite. I’m used to hearing stylist talk in different languages from when I get my hair braided or nails done so I was unbothered. My daughters hair came out perfect not so much mine. I called and asked the beautician if they were busy she said no. I went and I waited for like 30 minutes. When I got us to decide to leave then she then even acted interested like I was a guest. She then wash and did my hair which was great. My little girl had a wash, trim and bend that was 70 I was shocked I asked her for my daughter she says yes. Now really her length isn’t even that long. Also 50 for mine which was fine. The owner showed up and she was nice. I’m not against any language but when your customer is English I feel that you should at least include them. Customer service and prices needs to be adjusted but the outcome okay. Oh yeah a lady did tell me that my daughter was hardheaded because she wouldn’t keep her head still in ENGLISH… How offensive….

I went to this salon twice, about 4 years ago. The first experience was good…I went for a dominican blowout on my 4c hair and I was quite pleased with the results. Dafenny did my hair and I got the look I expected. I made the mistake to return there about a year later for the same thing plus a trim. That time, another lady (not Dafenny’s sister) did my hair (now looking back I wonder if she was even a hair stylist) and my natural hair was never the same after I washed it. It looked “relaxed”, my ends were damaged and keep looking “straight”. The products they’re using must be damaging, full of chemicals! I thought the issue will resolve with time but it didn’t. The customer service isn’t that great either. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this salon. Stay away from them if you care about your hair 🙁

Ana did my hair yesterday and it looked great…yesterday. I have the type of hair that can hold a roller set for 2 weeks. I asked for curly hair, and she blew out the roller curls to put them back in with a flat iron. It looked nice for a day. Needless to say, I was a little blown that I had to get my flat iron out this morning to put the curls back in. Curls that would have been there until I washed it if she hadn’t blown them out. Could have had a weekly customer, but I’ll be taking myself back to Silver Spring the next time.

I’m new to the area and decided to give Dafenny’s a try. I was greeted the moment I came up the stairs. The salon was very clean and the hair stylists were in cheery moods which I really liked. I was seen right away, and I’m extremely happy with my results. I don’t want to sound dramatic, but Dafenny changed my life! I was frustrated with my hair and ready to shave it off, but she was able to save it and make it beautiful again. She knows what she’s doing! I’ll definitely be back.
