Terrible experience, walked in and said I have an appointment for 8am and the lady didn’t know. So obviously that wasn’t who I made the appointment with. Then I explained the hairstyle that’s usually $150 to $180 and she said it was $250….. then proceeded to say it’s cash only so I left to get more money. Came back and sat down and she said she’s going to do a different style then what I asked for and showed initially. Very unprofessional, wouldn’t send my worse enemy here.

DD’s has been around for 18 years, and it’s owned and operated by family. Her and her sister are very agreeable and will try their best to accommodate your ideas for your hair, schedule, and budget. It’s an old, no frills location and there are tenants above the shop but they listened to all of my concerns and did efficient, consistent work and that’s what matters most for me.

Went to this shop to get tribal braids and had a HORRIBLE experience. The price of the style I wanted went from $120 to $300. She did my hair nothing like the style I asked, added a bunch of extra braids that I did not want, she didn’t even properly Cornrow my hair in the front. I texted her the next day asking her if I could come in for her to take them out and if I could have my money back because I was in pain because she had made my head so heavy by adding extra braids., and because it was not even close to the style I had asked for. She told me no that I couldn’t get my money back because she took 5 hours to braid my hair. The reason she took so long was because she added a bunch of braids I did NOT ask for. Not only did I waste my time but also a lot of money. I will never be going back and I do not RECOMMEND. They are very unprofessional and do not care about their clients. I ended up taking the braids out the next day. They were horrible

More than one person might work on your hair, which is a surprise. I’m use to only one person working on my head. My only complaint is that they are a little slow. Most places I’ve been to only take 4 hours to braid my hair. Got box braids here twice. They look very nice and last at least 3 months. I get long box braids, and they’re willing to do it. More than one person might work on your hair, which is a surprise. I’ve always went to DD for any nice Styles I would highly recommend this shop. Great woman that do hair, nice, fresh and tight. DD did my boyfriend dreads and they looked damn good. We will be back for a touch up soon.
