The woman that cut my hair was absolutely great at conversation and a wonderful person, not a great hair stylist. When I got home and realized how bad my hair looked, I felt bad having to call and tell her. She said it wouldn’t be a problem to get my money back, then put the manager on the phone. The manager was so mean and humiliating to me, there was no way I wanted to go back in there and let her touch my hair! She refused to give me my money back and treated me like I did something wrong. When my daughter tried to message the company to find out if there was a district manager we could contact, the same manager told her I yelled at her, wouldn’t give her a chance to talk at all. Completely not true!!! I was so upset after I got off the phone with her, I called another salon and couldn’t stop crying!!! I definitely would not recommend this place unless you are getting your hair shaved off or you like being treated badly and paying for it!

I have always taken my daughter here for haircuts … I never felt like it was a rush job until today . The stylist was nice enough but a wash , cut and blow dry should take longer then 10 mins …. she didn’t even blow dry her hair completely then I was told a straighten would cost $30 more as the owner decided that too many black women with long hair come in and it takes to long to straighten their hair so he changed price . Very dissatisfied and won’t be back there and will tell everyone I know .

I have been going to J&R since they first opened back when I was in highschool. That is over 15yrs ago. They may have moved down further in the arterial plaza, but the atmosphere is still the same. The ladies all know myself and family members. Everyone I know that gets their hair done there, have never complained and always praise them. Kristine has been there since the beginning and it is always nice to see her face and still apart of the business
