Honestly I hesitated to write this review because I am certain that my new favorite stylist is going to blow up and will become impossible to book with. If you are a Boston blonde RUN do not walk to book yourself in Kenzie Dalton’s chair at Cut Splice. I’ve been to every high end salon in NYC and on Newbury and this girl is a *talent* She understands color and dimension with expertise beyond her years. She has a radiant energy and is so kind and thoughtful to her clients. Cut Splice is a great salon with chic, chill vibes. My long, blond highlighted hair has never been healthier. Kenzie has given me my best cut in over a decade to boot. Simply book with her NOW while you still can.

My husband and I have been loyal customers for over a year. I’ve referred multiple people to the salon. I was told the owner, Grant is insisting I am charged for my full service despite it being medically necessary that I do not come in contact with dye or bleach. I even offered an alternative service idea instead of canceling and he is insisting it be treated as a cancellation. I have no interest in continuing doing business if health concerns are disregarded like this. Extremely disappointing.

Bianca validated my feelings right away and assured me that she could give me what I was looking for. Gina was my makeup artist and could not have been more professional. She traveled to NH and did makeup for my whole group and everyone looked stunning. She was able to quickly adapt to all of the different styles/requests effortlessly. Sandy did our hairstyles and she was awesome- very flexible if people wanted things adjusted which is always appreciated. I booked CutSplice for my wedding hair/makeup after a horrible experience with a different salon. Bianca validated my feelings right away and assured me that she could give me what I was looking for. Gina was my makeup artist and could not have been more professional. She traveled to NH and did makeup for my whole group and everyone looked stunning. She was able to quickly adapt to all of the different styles/requests effortlessly. I had a great experience at Cut-Splice. Selina is an absolute pleasure to hang out with and she did a fantastic job transforming my hair. I showed her a photo that was a bit of a stretch for the time we had available and she killed it! Not to mention that she and the whole vibe were so pleasant, it really made my day. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and am so happy to support an independent business that is checking all the boxes for Covid safety, and giving us back one of the pleasures of “normal” life.
