Cut Nice Barbershop

Critical: Professionalism, QualityNegative service. Awful communication. Zero understanding of customer wishes. Do not take your child to get their hair cut here. If you are an awful parent or someone who doesn’t care, then this place is for you. I took my oldest and youngest boys here for haircuts, thinking a barber shop experience would be the best… I was WRONG. My oldest got a good haircut. It looks great. But the barber did not listen to his wishes. My youngest was next to get his hair cut, he is 3. The barber was unprofessional, did not know how to talk to kids or parents. He had the audacity to harass me for touching my kids head, when I saw some spot on his head that wasn’t normal and then told me: “well I am not the one who shampooed his head, you did.” I picked up my kid and we WALKED OUT. YES I paid for the oldest cut, but did not give a tip nor said goodbye. Sorry Mike, I heard good things about you, but Frederick was NOT acceptable. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueFredrick did an amazing job cutting my 9 year old sons hair. He walked out feeling like a million bucks. Great service and atmosphere. We will most definitely be returning for future haircuts.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI selected this barbershop as my “usual” place was closed. After today, this is now my “usual/go to” place. Easily one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Frederick was very accommodating throughout. Before we even began we discussed what I was looking for in a haircut, and throughout the process asked me if what he was doing was good.One thing he did that I’ve never had a barber do is explain to me WHY he was doing what he was doing to my hair throughout the process. I found it very educational and really appreciated it. His attention to detail is honestly amazing–any where else in the area they will push you in and out–here, Frederick made sure to take extra time to ensure that everything was perfect.(Personally I love my hair being messed with so him taking longer was much appreciated)Health and safety wise, their COVID protocols are probably the best in Radford. Masks required, hand washing required, and a health questionnaire were required before even sitting in the chair. Everything(chair, tools, etc) were also sanitized with me watching to ensure everything was good. It’s honestly ICU/Hospital levels of safety, which I appreciated immensely.Frederick is also very personable. Just from this 1st visit it is obvious he cares about his clients and his community. You can talk to him about anything and he rolls with it. I love that. He is not only a barber, but he went back to school to get his cosmetology license.
