Dave Shepard has cut my hair for the last ten years at A Cut Above, and I have nothing but positive things to say about him. He cares about people and he cares about their hair. His service is flexible, his rates are reasonable, his haircuts are great, and I don’t feel rushed when I’m there. After ten years of haircuts, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dave at A Cut Above!

It was a good haircut! Place is not located where Google maps says it is so I will be suggesting an edit on this and this is not the businesses fault. I like to do my hair a certain way and they got close. When my hair is down it is really sloppy but it’s a good thing I don’t wear it down often. Probably one of the longest haircuts I’ve had but the place is great and the staff is friendly.

Critical: ProfessionalismI do not live in the area, I called (6/23/21 2:42 CT) to get some basic information for an upcoming wedding, (May ’22) the woman who answered the phone was very rude. when I asked if she had some time to answer a few questions, she immediately said no I informed her it was about hair and asked if they did wedding hair she replied with WHO very rudely. I politely replied with never mind have a great day. My husband didn’t have time to get a haircut before we went to Independence KS for a wedding. He walked into Cut Above and Dave gave him a great cut at a great price. I tell my husband that he now has to drive the 2 hours to go see Dave every time he needs a haircut.

David cuts both mine and my husband’s hair, heck our sons hair too when he’s back in town….just went for haircuts today.. .
