I’ve had a couple amazing massages from Vanessa at CuppingNYC – both of them leaving me with such a feeling of relief and release through my muscles. I am a yoga and fitness trainer so my body is always jacked up and the cupping experience has helped open up the tightness between my joints, and allowed her massage to go deeper into the muscles. It was by chance and luck that Vanessa had a slot for a 90 minute session. I am not new to cupping and massage therapy due to a chronic injury. Being new to the area I was looking for therapist that knows their modalities and techniques effectively. Prior to the session, I stated what I wanted to accomplish and concerns. She was very patient and accommodating in explaining her approach. Through the course of the session, I felt my body responding positively to her hands and techniques. I spent a lot of time researching a reputable massage therapist for my wife. Several less expensive options were available in the area, but I had discovered from previous experiences that you indeed get what you pay for. After my wife was not able to make her first appointment, I instead went in her place. I am not an expert in massages but I really enjoyed my hour with Vanessa and discovered that my shoulders are tight. She even showed me how cupping is done, which I knew nothing about. She showed me how to address my tight shoulders issue on my own. I’ve already recommended Vanessa to a couple people and am looking forward to future sessions.

AMAZING! I had never had a massage plus cupping done before I met Vanessa and I’ll never go back to just plain old massages. Her skill level is beyond and after just a couple cupping session the chronic pain I’d had in my shoulder was almost gone, my sciatica and hip issues where getting better. As a yoga teacher and dancer I need my body working well and pain free and going to get cupped a couple times a month was what really helped me to be able to move and work at full capacity.
