Critical: ProfessionalismAfter being a consumer at Crystal Nails for several years now I am fairly disappointed in their customer service. I have been going there since before they were under new ownership just to give you an idea. Sadly, any time I’ve got a full set or fill from one of their techs I have a nail “pop off” within the first week (and I work a desk job, not much wear/tear). I know why would I keep going back after this happens continuously but I am loyal and like to give people the opportunity to fix their mistakes. When I brought this to their attention being it happened several times to different nails I was told I should cut my nails shorter and be more careful. My nails didn’t chip.. the whole nail as one piece came off as if it was a press-on.. honestly that should’ve been my first red flag. Second flag should’ve been the last time I showed James a design which he attemptedto complete and it was nothing like the picture I showed him. Far more complicated than what was pictured below & fairly cheaper for whatever reason. But instead of saying he couldn’t do, he attempted then was upset I was unpleased. I will say Jill (James’ wife) is fair at designs and will try anything if given the chance (which can payoff or not) I found the design below pictured on Pinterest and she said it would be much easier to complete than the original sticker design I showed her. It ended up taking 3 hours to complete (whole set/design). I will say I am fairly pleased with the design but not for the price or time spent. At the end I was told $96. $41 for full set, $5 for length (they aren’t even long smh), $5 for coffin shape (honestly they’re all shaped different smh), $5 gel powder (there is no such thing per another salon, either ACRYLIC powder or GEL [liquid form). Then $35 for design apparently because it was custom/time spent (aren’t they all? They have NO designs featured or pictured [in fact they’ve taken several pictures of sets I’ve had completed by them and never posted nor gave credit) Honestly the prep for my nails took longer being about 2hrs vs the design which was 1 hour to do. My point is I had far more complicated designs in the past for cheaper, it isn’t my fault they took so long to perfect, and for the owner James to say he doesn’t care of my opinion it’s his business was sickening. I have recommended friends who also sadly had bad experiences with customer service here so just be prepared. I did show the design to another salon in town who said I was definitely overcharged and informed me of the scam on Gel Powder smh.
