This place is amazing. I’ve had my hair done by 2 different people and sadly the first lady Lindsey was kind of drunk off wine and messed up my bangs and it so sad she cut them all the way back. Yet I did want to get a trim/ Haircut and the second lady Christina did amazing. I was madder that the first lady was drinking. She should not drink while cutting hair. No drinking plz wine should only be for customers!!!!!!!!!!

My first time here for a new “nail” manicure and again as ALWAYS, Crucial Hair did not disappoint! Lindsey, the owner is excellent at selecting high quality artist’s! I had just paid to get a “Ombré” done literally yesterday at another place. To pink and too white?! Ether way I hated it! I’ve used Crutial for cuts and coloring over 5 years! Hands down! The newest to the team only doing nails replaced my design and color the next day and I couldn’t be more pleased! Priced extremely lower than expected at any other “high end” salon. Definitely don’t hesitate to use Crutial Hair and Salon if your looking for “better” hair AND now nails! In my photo, I won’t show the “before, because I don’t want to confuse you with this excellent new talent that is also a game changer in my regular hair and nail care! I may be over 50, but my hands don’t!

I had such a great experience at Crucial salon all the ladies working were great, very chill atmosphere, shared a few laughs. I haven’t been to a salon in years but I’m so glad I went in. The style I chose was complicated to say the least but my stylist Mikyla was the best. I was nervous and kept apologizing but she sweetly grabbed my hand and reassured me that it’s what she loves to do. I love my hair!!! The sunset colors were tricky but you nailed it!! I was wearing my Black Lives Matter mask when I entered and the lady was noticeably less willing to help me than how I was treated on the phone making the appointment. My hair dresser didn’t show for the appointment and nobody apologized. They just gave me an attitude. The lady who was there was a nightmare and had the audacity to touch my hair and give me dirty looks while saying my hair was so thin. Horrifying experience. I would NEVER recommend this place to a living Soul.

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI should have walked out immediately when I saw no one was wearing a mask. They are not taking ANY safety precautions for the pandemic. I needed a haircut really bad, so I decided to do it anyway and just wore my mask, but I felt like I was being judged for doing so.The stylist I had, also the owner, was super impatient and interrupted me when I was trying to explain what I wanted done to my hair. Literally cut me off mid-sentence multiple times. I felt like she was judging me the whole time and wasn’t friendly at all. It seemed like I was inconveniencing her for an appointment that I made weeks in advance. Actually it was more than unfriendly, it was straight up rude.As far as the haircut itself, the back looks ok, but that’s all that she really focused on. When she did the front of my hair she wasn’t listening to me and ended up cutting my bangs wayyy shorter than I wanted. I left feeling like the cut wasn’t finished OR what I envisioned, but she never even let me explain what it was that I wanted.I never leave negative reviews, but it was an awful experience and was unprofessional on so many levels. I cannot say enough good things about Crucial Salon! I have been going there for my nails for about 7 months. Kaytlyn is the nail tech there and she is amazing! I have not seen nails comparable to her work in Chico! I come in with visions and ideas and she makes them reality! If you are someone who loves to get your nails done you have to go to Kaytlyn!
