Professionalism is truly a dying characteristic. I’ll be in the Denver area for the next few weeks and I was desperately looking for someone to style my short hair. I found this salon through Google. There were some sketchy reviews but I decided to give them a call anyway. The salon owner Nicki seemed nice over the phone and gave me an appointment. When I came to the appointment I was asked to sit outside the suite until my time came. I waited past the time I scheduled but I was cool with waiting a few extra minutes because she squeezed me in. While I was sitting there the salon owner and another lady were discussing some drama concerning another stylist. I mean they were loud too! You could hear them all in the hallway. It was so unprofessional and ghetto to the point I left without even getting my hair done. As bad as I needed it styled I decided it wasn’t worth it. I try to be careful with who I let put their hands in my head because I don’t need all of that negativety near me . Nicki called after I left and offered an apology for ‘how I felt’ She stated they were discussing a issue with another stylist, not drama. Same thing! It’s sad, I love supporting my own (Black businesses) but this unprofessionalism has got to stop!
