I really hate to give this place a bad review because they all were very nice BUT I hate my hair. Initially I was gonna get box braids but changed my mind and decided to get twist, I’m 9 months pregnant and figured the twist would be quicker easier and less tension. After I left I noticed about 5 of my twist that was where my hair was parted looked like it had about 2 months of new growth only because my hair appeared to be twisted before the extension was put in, I immediately went back and they were ” fixed” upon leaving I noticed another one and it was fixed, then I noticed instead of just redoing the hand full tighter the braider made each one into 2, so on one side of where my twist are parted they are obviously smaller then the rest. It looks crazy but I’m being positive and decide to just try to cover them up by pulling some from the other side of the part to camouflage the clearly different sizes. Once home I further looked through my hair and I literally feel like I got got, it is very visible where hair was taken from one piece of the twist to accommodate the other strand and its stands out like a sore thumb, I know with box braids this is common but with these twist it looks like a first time braider did my hair, I paid $180 for some bs. There is no consistency in the twist pattern. Its really irritating, I have never left a review on Google but I feel obligated to be honest, I don’t play about my hair so hopefully this review helps. I do appreciate that they bring me a pillow for my back when I was basically done it was a nice gesture.I’m gonna keep these in until I have my baby and its coming out I really hate I wasted my money. Also notice how bad the ends look, today is Thursday and I JUST got my hair done on Tuesday

Their prices are very reasonable and their hours are very accommodating for a working mom such as myself. I greatly appreciated the cleanliness- the made sure to thoroughly sanitize each chair and table station after servicing a client. They even stayed on top of sweeping up loose hairs from the floor. And the service-amazing. Everyone so polite and professional. And lastly, they moved fast! Got in & out in under 4 hours. I been to other shops were I stayed in the chair for 6-7 hours on similar styles. I went a few days ago. They made me feel comfortable just walking through the door! Very inviting and timely! I love my hair and i still had time to actually make a event ON TIME because of the speedy, accurate service. This is my braiding shop from now on. Highly recommend this shop.

Although they were nice people, this place is the absolute worst African Hair Braiding Shop that I’ve ever been to. My Husband and two sons went in for a dread retwist. The shop ended up having to redo both my sons dreads because they literally started unraveling before we had even left the shop! My Husbands dreads came out ok but the owner Kemi was very slow and it took her 5 hours just to get his done! After they redid my boys hair, only 4 days later it looks a mess like I didn’t just give that lady $160 of my hard earned money! While the front of the shop seems to look clean, the bathroom in the back is NASTY and made me gage with that old sitting smelling water all over the floor. After spending time there waiting on her to get done, huge water-bugs started to come out after it started to get late. This place needs to go out of business! I looked up their reviews before going and I’m convinced they made the reviews their selves. Please don’t waste your money or your time like we did.

Went it for a quick hairdo and they were able to accommodate. A bit higher than other places for the style I got and I wasn’t happy with my finished look but I got what I asked for a quick do. I’ve seen some nice hairdos come out so it’s a coin toss.

this is honestly the best African hair braiding shop in the city! its clean and the women are not all loud and speaking in other languages over your head, did I mention this is the cleanest African hair braiding shop in the city ? yes! its that clean . no kids running around , just pure great customer service and beautiful braids.

The staff was really nice and got me in the same day I called . I like my hair but some minor issues with the braids , one of the braids on my edges was way to tight that if you moved just that one braid a little bit you could see my scalp pull and turn white so that should have been corrected before leaving . Also the parting of my hair wasn’t what I asked for . I asked for box braids with diamond parts . I got some triangle parts , some that looked like squares . As a result the braids in the front look like my hair was parted for me to wear the braids in a split . So if I wanted to wear up you can really tell the parts were not done right . I also didn’t like the ends too much . I’m use to have braids where the size is the same from the top to bottom so some of the braid ends were really thin . Overall a good experience not sure if I wasn’t clear enough in what I wanted but I did say I wanted diamond parts with medium sized boxes braids so I’m not sure why I didn’t get that . Overall great customer service and they were fast
