Critical: Professionalism, QualityI visited this nail salon today (11/11/2020) for a pedicure and manicure. The lady (name unknown) was pleasant at first, asked how I was. I provided my own brand new bottle of nail polish that I wanted to use. While doing my pedicure, I noticed an air bubble in the paint, I pointed it out to the lady, she disregarded what I said at first and I had to repeat myself. After repeating myself, she attempted to pop the air bubble with cuticle cutters.This as you know, would leave an indent in which it did. She painted over it, I asked if she can re-do and repaint the whole nail. She proceeded to wipe the nail polish off with her finger and a square nail filer and painted over it. I asked if she can redo my nail completely, in which she finally complied.She proceeded to commence my manicure. When she was filing my nails she not cut me once but twice and said, “oh, oops”. I noticed cotton on my finger nail and even more air bubbles, I brought this to her attention, she said, “relax, calm down, I make beautiful.” She then painted over the troubled areas and the nail polish was very thick layered. I tried to express my concerns and every time I did, she would repeat herself. “It’s okay, I make beautiful”. I noticed the nail polish brush was old one with bite marks and she placed it down. Put my nail polish brush back in the polish and handed it back. When I brought that to her attention, she started speaking to her co-worker. (I don’t know what was said.)At this point I had enough and told her I wasn’t satisfied and I had to leave, she said, “no, relax I finish, I make beautiful.” I requested nail polish remover and removed the color. I got up and expressed that I wasn’t satisfied and did not feel comfortable paying for my manicure. but I will gladly pay for the pedicure. I asked we can work a price out because I was not happy with the service they said no I have to pay $15. I again repeated myself.They said it didn’t matter if I had polish on or not I was to pay the $15 in full. I expressed to them that it wasn’t about having polish on, it was about the poor service provided. They demanded I pay $15. My issue was not resolved, they did nothing to rectify the situation, not even a mere apology.
