I truly going to Create to get my hair done. Shes so sweet and kind and she always makes sure that my hair looks the way I want it to. She also gives me ideas on what to do with my hair so it looks good and is lighter on my head. I LOVE CREATE SALON and SPA! I recommend Create to everyone who wants a great haircut or dye ! This was my second time here and I was not thrilled this time. My first time with Jackie was great, but today I had her daughter. I would’ve given 2.5 stars if I could do a half star. My son and I went to get cuts… I booked two half hour cut appts online for what should have been an hour total. She spent literally 10 mins on each of us – 20 mins total. I was in and out in 25 mins, if that. To put it into perspective- when we first got there a guy was in the middle of getting his hair cut next to us (and the hairdresser clearly seemed awesome and doing a good job). We were out the door, both of our cuts, while this one guy was still getting his done. The rush job showed this, which is disappointing because I am not picky!! I didn’t realize until after we left that there are huge chunks in my son haircut that she simply didn’t clip at all, and it was blatantly apparent, the edges are messy, choppy, and uneven, but was better than mine. My cut is not just good at all. I asked for some layering and an angle in the front, and there was no angle, and choppy, solid chunks taken out of my hair in seemingly random patches, but did almost no layering whatsoever to the front, much less angle. The layers are so awful, a . I’m not even remotely a hairdresser and this is such a blatantly bad haircut that I’m embarrassed to go anywhere before I can get it fixed (something I’ve never had to do before!) I was going to tell her that I needed it completely fixed but could clearly tell she was trying to get us out of there… and I really didn’t think she had the skills, desire, or time to fix it anyway. I am going somewhere else to get it fixed. She was also DEAD silent, didn’t check in once until she was done, and then I put my glasses on and realized I shouldn’t have trusted it’d come out ok. There were family members I’m guessing in the chairs, which was unprofessional. However the salon is beautiful and I really liked Jackie last time.

What a great experience and beautiful salon. Family owned mother/daughter with more than just hair. They do it all from facials, massages, sauna, eyelashes, nails and more. First time there and Jackie was great! Long overdue look from the 60’s … Bye bye.

Love this salon! I’ve been here about a 1/2 dozen times since I moved to Torrington. Jacki is a top-notch hairdresser and she always listens to what I’m asking for in a haircut. Not only is this salon beautiful, but these gals know what they’re doing! I saw Jackie, after coloring my own hair. I had gray roots and was trying to cover them, needless to say I ended up with roots a totally different color than my ends. Jackie fit me in spur of the moment and I couldn’t be happier with my results! Jackie knew exactly what to do and she did it! Besides cutting off the dead ends she lifted the extra color in my ends out which resulted in beautiful healthy shiny hair all one color! While there I could see that the other Hairdresser knows her stuff as well, both cuts I saw done were gorgeous. If you have any doubts, please know you are in good hands. Their prices are very reasonable! Jackie, thank you so much, I WILL be back!
