Critical: ValueI’m very disappointed that Coal refused to highlight my hair because she saw split ends. I understand being concerned but it’s 2021 and there are options to prevent hair from getting damaged. I even suggested she use oloplex, which is meant to protect hair from damaging but she still refused to do the highlights. I was a hair stylist for over 13 years and I definitely know my hair. If I would have thought for a second my hair would fall out or be completely damaged I would never allow bleach on my hair. I have access to great hair products which I use daily. I left there so upset, crying because of frustration, and not to mention embarrassed, knowing I was the only person of color walking out not being serviced. I have tried many of the salons in the west valley and Cotton is by far my favorite. I typically see Olivia at Cotton for Brazilian blowouts, but today I saw her for a color correction. I have been extremely satisfied with both services and the work that Olivia has done. Everyone in the salon is super friendly and I felt that both of my services have been affordable for how nice my hair turns out. The salon is also super cute and clean. If you are looking for a nice salon in the west valley Cotton is definitely my fav, and Olivia is the best!!

PRICE GOUGING! Thought I found the stylist and salon I could stick with for years to come only to have to re-book my appointment due to Covid. When I was about to confirm my appointment with Marissa she says “my prices have changed” I asked what they were and for a root touch up, toner and a trim $340! FOR A TOUCH UP! I asked her if this was her increase or the salons in which she indicated both. This salon sits in a grocery store strip mall, nothing upscale nothing fancy. I’m all for paying fair prices. I have no problem “you get what you pay for” but this is PRICE GOUGING at its finest. Prior to me relocating to Arizona, I was with my stylist for 20years. They lost a loyal customer.
