I went in today ( 2/12/22) for an all-over color on very thick, long hair without an appointment. They were able to immediately get me in, and I was grateful. Michelle brushed, then combed my hair, put the color on, and she was cutting someone else’s hair while my color set. I looked over and saw THIS hairbrush she had used to brush my hair! I waited until the other customers were gone and asked her if she used that brush on my hair. She was like, “Yes, it’s got soft bristles.” She then tried to get me to feel those bristles vs. the NEW brushes bristles she had in a drawer!!!! I declined to feel them and asked her not to use that brush on my hair again. She was clearly not happy with me asking that. The next 45 minutes were silent and awkward as we waited for color to finish setting, and she rinsed, then blow dried my hair. The color turned out fine, but that brush ruined my entire experience. Notice the worn-out color brush in the photo, too. Ridiculous. You be the judge on if you want that hairbrush used on your hair smh. I’m sure it’s still there and being used. I haven’t spoken to a manager yet, but I will on Monday.

I went here to get a bad haircut fix. The women working that day cut my hair and helped me get my confidence back. They were all super nice and talked with me about my day, gave me notes about what they were doing to my hair and styling tips and ideas for the future as my hair grows back out. Will definitely go here again!

I am not happy with this salon or their service. I went in on a Friday afternoon. I had long hair and have wanted and planned on a certain cut (not a difficult one either) for 4 months. It took me that long because I love my long hair and cutting it gave me some anxiety, but I fell in love with a style I found and finally made the decision. There was one woman working all my herself on a Friday late afternoon. Bad decision on the company being that it is the start of a weekend. I had pictures and talked with her in depth about what I wanted. She said yes, she could and would do that cut. I wanted the back shoulder length while the front remained longer with some layers, a very cool style. I called it a rocker cut and my husband loved it. She was finishing a customer when we came in and I went first. After we talked about the cut and before she started cutting, a father came in with 4 small boys. My husband also wanted a trim. I don’t know whether she felt bad pressure with so many waiting or what the problem was, but she butchered my hair! The back is very short and then she proceeded to cut ALL OF THE LENGTH OFF OF THE FRONT AS WELL! I couldn’t believe it. I even confronted her before I left telling her that the front sides were not even! One side is longer than the other and the layers make me look like a broken down woman who got a 5 year old to chop off her hair! I am devastated. All of my beautiful long hair is gone. I am left with uneven, chopped up chunks of short hair EVERYWHERE! It’s a complete mess and it will take at least a year to grow out and repair the damage this woman did to me. I cried for 3 days. There is no style, no shape, just chopped up, short hair. I had an event right after this and I almost didn’t go. These beauticians need to slow down and listen to their customers! I’m sorry you’re there by yourself but I didn’t make the schedule. Shame on your boss! You need to understand and learn that when you screw up a woman’s hair that was beautiful before you got your hands on it, it affects EVERYTHING IN HER LIFE! I am still emotional about this and it’s been a week. How dare you put me in a chair and cut whatever you like just to get me finished and gone so you can be on to the next! I even showed you pictures! My husband and I could have done a better job! I will NEVER be back to a Cost Cutters EVER AGAIN! YOU STOLE WHAT WAS THE MOST FEMININE THING ON ME!

I got off work at 3 pm on purpose just so I could go get my hair curled for a special occasion that was at 5:30 here- decent reviews, close to home, good to go, right? I get there at 3:15 pm and ask for a simple spiral curl. My hair is not anything special. Medium length, not super thick. There were 2 or 3 people that came in after me that were taken back, one of which was a full head highlight on thick hair that will obviously take like 2 hours. None had an appt. Seriously? You can’t curl my hair in the space of like 15 minutes? I sat there until 4:30 pm. It was like I was invisible. No one letting me know if I’d be taken back. Someone went on break. I finally just walked out. I very rarely write a bad review but this was ridiculous.

I went in yesterday to get my hair cut. The person that got me was scheduled to be off in 30 minutes and I felt like they did not listen to what I wanted. Now I am going someone else to get my hair fixed. All they did was shorten my hair and thinned it out, I did not get what I wanted. I showed the person a photo of what I wanted bangs and layers. When they started to do my hair hey were complaining on how thick my hair is, I told them before I started that my hair is really thick and it is difficult to brush though and that why i need it thinned out. They just kept complain on how thick it was. When I saw it was 6pm I knew they were going to rush getting my hair done so they can leave I can hear them grunting. After I left I was disappointed and when I got home and talked to my Significant other about it I started crying. Cost Cutters has lost my business.

My mom, sister, and I went there before going to my grandpa’s wake. My mom and sister had a great experience with their ladies, but mine was terrible. I had my hair cut and my eyebrows waxed. My haircut is uneven and my eyebrows were hardly touched. Then she way overcharged me by $30 to straighten my hair. She wasn’t personable at all and went to the back and hid when I started asking questions. My sister’s hairdresser stepped in and made things right, which definitely helped the situation at the time. As if I didn’t have enough on my mind already, my lady did not create an even fair experience for me. She is the hairdresser with very short hair (the shortest hair out of all of them). I recommend requesting someone else who works there for a way better experience. Thank you!
