As an older man, I have used, almost exclusively, the traditional barber shops for my haircuts. Last week my nearby traditional barber shop was booked up, so I decided that I would be brave and give Cost Cutters in Waterloo a try. The young lady Danielle, who cut my hair, was very sweet and respectful. I was amazed at how quickly she cut my hair, and when I got home, my wife and I agreed that it was one of the best haircuts that I have ever had. The price was, more or less, competitive with the traditional barber shop. I think that this may now be my go-to place for my haircuts.

This place was clean with friendly staff. I was happy with my haircut as it was exactly what I asked for. They are understaffed, with no dedicated front counter person. Tuesday morning was a much more popular time for people to be there than I expected, with a lot of elderly ladies coming in for their perm appointments. There was about a 45 minute wait for walk ins when I was there. This store does do online check ins.

I loved this place. I am from out of town but was able to get a reservation for the next day. Amber did a fantastic job of cutting my hair. She listened to what I wanted and then did her magic. You could tell it was getting busy but she spent the time needed to do my hair cut right. Definitely will be coming back here.
