I made an appointment to have my hair styled. I confirmed with the stylist Tanika that she would be able to do twist rods. I gave her a good picture. Issue 1. She rushed my hair style because she had to leave early instead of asking me to reschedule (I didn’t know this until after she started) when I walked inshe was dyeing her son’s hair before his track practice. While she has me under the dryer, she went back to his hair. I had an appointment, I don’t understand why I didn’t get the time I was supposed to. Issue 2. My hair looks nothing like the picture I showed her. I had specifically asked the owner if they had stylists that could do natural hairstyle. I asked this in person and she saw what I looked like so not sure why she lied. This is the second salon in NC that has told me they can do my hair but clearly couldn’t. Issue 3. I spoke directly with the owner Annette who told me they don’t even do those types of styles. That she would ‘handle her employee’ and refused to refund the $40 I was charged to look like Medusa’s sister. Since they ‘don’t do those styles’ she couldn’t correct the disaster either. So, I basically paid to have my hair jacked up after I was rushed thru an appointment made under false pretenses. And am not entitled to a refund. That is completely unacceptable. The first picture is what I wanted. The 2nd and 3rd are what I got.

Critical: ProfessionalismBeware long review: I have used this salon on and off for almost 12 year’s. My mother and I have always had Wonderful experiences and service from the stylist’s in the past. Well, I have several events coming up soon and decided to stop by on Friday and try to get a cut and full highlights. When I entered the salon I didn’t see any familiar familiar faces, but Famous Hair has always had great stylist’s, so I proceeded, finally Annette acknowledged me and asked me how she could help me but in a snobbish way. I proceeded to ask if she had anything available today after 5 for a cut and highlights. She in a rude way said no, we don’t do any color after 5, which caught me By surprise b/c they always have in the past. Anyway, I say okay, and ask HER if she has any openings tomorrow and she quickly replies no we are all booked up but I’ll check, she opens the planner and boom a big section is empty, can you do 12 pm and I say yes. I was hesitant about going to the appointment b/c of how she treated me but I needed my hair done. So, I get ready to leave to find my neighbor has blocked my driveway with his moving truck and went to lunch, however, he arrives with 15 minutes for me to still get there. So, I call the Salon and speak to Anette and tell her that I am running late but I’m on my way. She never once checked with the stylist to see if this would effect my services or appointment. So, I arrive and walk in and no one acknowledged me, but there was Annette sitting down chatting and another stylist was doing a clients hair, after about 5 minute’s a very nice woman comes from the back to check me in, and says Ashley will be up shortly, so I wait and Ashley comes up and asks me what services I wanted and I tell her and she says okay have a seat, so I go over to the stylist chair and sit down so she asks again what services I wanted and I reply AGAIN I want this kind of cut and full highlights. She instantly says I have another appointment. I say okay but when I called Anette said it was fine and if it was going to be a problem why didn’t she state that on the phone and I could have rescheduled for a later time or another day? She said well I can do a partial service, and tries to convince me to stay for only have of what I wanted!! So, I get frustrated b/c now I drove all this way, to be told she can’t give me the full service when Anette could have done her job and asked her if my being late would effect my services before I got there. So now I really feel uncomfortable and take the gown off and tell her no I’ll find someplace else!! When I asked for the corporate number Ashely gives me an employee 1-800 number, and the salon number. I ended up having to google the actual contact info. And found it under Regis. I filed a complaint but I’m sure nothing will be done. It’s a shame b/c I loved this place until now!! I will never come back after that. I get, I was running late but had they acted with professionalism and actually checked before I came, I would have had no problem with rescheduling and by the way that wasn’t even offered when I sat down. I’ve tried this place multiple times , I don’t know if it’s being a male or just the work ethic of the building, but of the 8 times I’ve tried I’ve only got service 3 times. I understand if place is busy that a walk in you have to wait , I’ve been told 5 times I’d have a wait of 45 min to an hour and half and either have only one person ahead of me or the place is empty , with three stylists on at a time. One dark hair staff member with short hair has been there 5 of the times and either doesn’t cut men’s hair or doesn’t care. She’s never had a person in her chair and tells the other girls to serve while she sits in her phone. It’s a shame because the haircuts I’ve got there have been good but the staff needs a real culture change
