I have been to this Cost Cutters many times over the years and always had a good experience. It had been over three months since my last hair cut. I am elderly and my hair is baby fine so I keep it short. There was another change of staff and a different woman cut my hair, she did my hair cut in less than ten minutes, the back of my hair was shaved up my neck higher than a man’s hair cut. I had trimmed my sideburns at home the way I liked and she literally shaved them off. My hair is jaggedly cut like an untrained person had cut it. I did not realize how bad it was until I got home. I will NEVER go there again. I am still in shock, I can’t believe what she did to my hair. Now I can only hope it grows out quickly.

I have always had very pleasant experiences here, with Tammy in particular. But today, I had a stylist (not Tammy) who seemed determined to argue and misunderstand everything I asked for. She argued with me about what my last cut was, lectured me one what a “bob” was and tried to tell me I currently had an undercut. I have never gotten an undercut and never asked for a bob. I ended up crying in the chair out of frustration because she was so difficult to talk to. In then end, I asked for 1.5 inches taken off and to keep my forward diagonal cut but at a less drastic angle. First, she only took off a half an inch and then boasted that she barely took anything off. I explained I had asked for 1.5 inches off. She cut some more. Then, she explained that she took off the most in the back and the least in the front… the exact opposite of what I asked for. She cut it again. When blow drying, she used the highest heat setting without a concentrator and was placing the heat coiled directly on my hair. The brush was tugging and snapping at my hair the entire time. In the end, the cut is fine. The stylist was never rude and tried to be kind, but it was a horrible experience because she just wouldn’t listen to me and the blow drying process had me fearing horrible damage to my already dry hair. It took everything in me not to get up and walk out mid-appointment.

Have had good haircuts before, but met with hairdresser Tammy and she completely ruined my bangs. I asked for a TRIM, and she cut much shorter than I told her. They’re uneven and got rid of the framing entirely. I’m embarrassed to go outside because of how horrible the cut looks. No communication, and she chopped it all off at once and said I was good to go. The rest of the trim was okay, except that my hair was being handled roughly and I could feel it ripping when she combed it (I did not come in with tangly hair, in fact I brushed it in the car before going inside).

I have been here many times. There was a lot of great stylists friendly and pleasant. The stylists I got today had no personality, and did not listen to what I wanted. My hair cut is awful. Will not go back!!

I have almost always gotten a great cut, with fast and friendly service at Cost Cutters. Maybe if you are looking for a super fancy salon experience you need to go elsewhere, but for a basic cut it is a great choice. They take walk-ins and in the past it was almost no-wait, but lately it has been busier so I would suggest reserving on line or calling.

Hairdresser did not shampoo as requested, and didn’t listen or do the style of a picture I showed her. If you can’t do as the customer wants, be honest. I was tempted not to tip but didn’t have the heart not too. I will never go back. Haircut

Went for a walk-in cut in April, no appointment. Waited approx 15 minutes. Let me preface by saying I hadn’t had a good haircut in a year (shame!), and didn’t really know what to ask, just needed a good manageable attractive style for my hair and face shape, and I wanted to get rid of some of the length which was beyond my shoulders. The stylist, Tammy, was nothing short of AMAZING. My new style looks GREAT!
