Got a haircut passing through Gallup. Barber is very old school, and he’ll let you know from the start. Full conversations through the cut. Barbershop was vintage and nostalgic. Hair styles as short, medium or long and tell him the number of inches off the top. Great haircut that cost $15. Only takes cash – no debit or credit.

Dan (the owner and barber) has been my barber for most of my life. Explain how you want your hair cut and he does a great job. He’s old school; doesn’t use clipper guides. Can’t beat the price. This is an old school barber shop. Good conversation. Good dude.

Coming from a barber… Great place to get a old fashioned haircut, Dan is the man tell him exactly what you want and you’ll get it. He’s an OG and know his cuts. He does not take card or debit so make sure you have cash in hand. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone I’m traveling from out of town and glad this was the shop I decided to go to THANK YOU DAN!

This barber shop is one of the better barber shops I’ve seen in Gallup. The barber that was there was very friendly and talked to us. He also did a good job in terms of cutting my hair. Just overall a good barber shop but no shop is perfect. I just wish they were more options.

I’m from KY, working in Gallup for a few months. I go home every couple weeks but not during the hours that my local barber is open. I have that in-between multi-ethnic hair and was reluctant to try an out of town barber who might not be able to do a military cut taper. Cortez did a perfect job; and he is a talker, but great conversationalist. Even better, he’s open on Saturdays, until 5:30 pm. I’m so glad I came here.

Went to the same barber for over ten years then he closed. Looked around town for a new one but couldn’t find one I liked. A buddy recommended I try the Cortez barber shop. Man am I glad I tried this place. Good haircut everytime I go there cut the way i like it cut.

Great Barber Shop. I went there for a few years when I lived on the Rez. Never had a bad haircut, never had to wait too long. Definitely an old school Dad and Son place. Very impressed with them and the set up. Definitely recommend going there.
