I’ve been going to Coralwood Dermatology since I moved here in 2014. The quality of care I get is second to none. Dr. Cheng has helped me make progress against problems other doctors have not been able to touch. She is exceptionally knowledgeable in her field, she cares about her patients, and she takes the time to explain what you need to do and why.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cheng‘s for several years. In that time I have found her to be always professional, and caring. I have been impressed with her practice, and her employees. I have had many cancerous and pre-cancerous Items removed from my face. I firmly believe that she is helping keep me alive. I highly recommend her.

First, the office office staff seem to not to know how to schedule an appointment; every appointment I scheduled was later changed to a date further in the future. Second, they send a text at 7am reminding you of your appointment but you are unable to speak with a person until 8am to resolve a scheduling issue that they created. My current appointment was rescheduled 3 times.

We waited 2 months for a new patient appointment only to be called 5 days prior to be informed that they no longer accept our insurance. The office staff stated they were aware of this change in the beginning of December but never notified us until 1/3. This is wasted time for anyone with a genuine dermatological concern. I’m deeply disappointed they didn’t value my time or concerns as a new patient.

Saw Dr. Cheng and NP Gonzales yesterday. Excellent medical care as usual. My fears regarding Covid-19 sanitizing measures vanished. My only concern were the UNmasked patients in the waiting room. I do not understand why the patients are potentially harming Dr. Cheng, her staff, and other patients.

My wife and I have been going to Dr Cheng for about 9 yrs. A good dermatologist is important since I have a family history of skin cancer. Dr Cheng has always been very professional, knowledgable, and caring. We are very satisfied.

I called the Cape Coral office and first thing I ask is if they take my insurance. The woman on the phone tells me they actually don’t take my plan but I didn’t mind. I asked her how much a first visit would be since they don’t take my insurance but I’m willing to pay out of pocket. She put me on hold to “get prices for me” and when she got back on she says “well, since you told us you have insurance, we’re actually not able to see you as a self-paying patient”. I’m willing to give you my money so you guys can tell me what’s wrong but you refuse to see me because I have insurance? I asked for her to explain why and she put me on hold and another woman picked up and she stated “you’ve already told us you have insurance through the government so we are unable to see you for legal reasons”. I was clearly upset and the woman tried to change what she said and told me “well, we DO take your plan BUT we’re not taking any new patients at the moment so unfortunately we can’t see you at the moment”. Very disappointed in the discriminatory excuse coming from this office. Simply because someone has government assistance, doesn’t mean we don’t deserve to have our medical concerns addressed . Very rude and unprofessional to refuse service to someone genuinely concerned about her health . I’M DISGUSTED.
