I was so nervous to try a salon I’ve never been to before, I’ve been to a lot of salons that I just didn’t feel comfortable in. I had a lot of fun here! It changed my whole outlook on salons, Allen and Donna took great care of me! This is the best salon in Dearborn hands down!

Critical: QualityI came here for babylights with Sam. He asked me 2 questions about what I want before starting. He did not clarify about anything I said. I told him I wanted babylights, and wanted it natural looking. I stated I want them to peek through but be natural. I mentioned to him that I don’t want a rusty blonde and he agreed that a brown natural color would be best as I have dark hair to begin with. After they started drying my hair I saw right away that I hated it. I told him that I did not like it and need it redone. He said give it two weeks and see if you change your mind. I told them that I hated it so much I know that I can’t go two weeks like this. I live an hour away and would have to drive back. I work nights and it is hard for me to come to begin with. He was overbooked and understaffed and did not want to fix it. He made me remake an appointment. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense not to even go back. I came here for babylights with Sam. He asked me 2 questions about what I want before starting. He did not clarify about anything I said. I told him I wanted babylights, and wanted it natural looking. I stated I want them to peek through but be natural. Critical: ProfessionalismI originally emailed areej back in January 2021. I wanted her for my wedding in December 2021. I gave her a whole year in advance. She notified me that she is only doing month to month bookings but she went ahead and took my name and phone number down and let me know when the time comes closer to December, she will notify me when to book. In early October, I had been in the salon to get my makeup done by another makeup artists when I ran into Areej. I met Areej in person and I told her that I was excited to have her do my makeup for my big day but I would need to know when her bookings open. She then notified me that her booking hasn’t opened yet for December because she still has a few things to figure out. I completely respected that and was willing to book her LAST MINUTE (a month before my wedding!!!!!) only because I loved her work! I noticed that she made an Instagram post that her bookings open (without her even telling me) for December. So the day her bookings opened, I went ahead and called the salon to book when they notified me that Areej is FULLY BOOKED the day of my wedding. When I contacted Areej she told me that I will need to give her until the end of the week for her to get back to me and see if she can squeeze me. Even if she can “squeeze” me on my own wedding day, my mom and sister are left without a makeup artist. This is highly unprofessional. Just because someone has a couple of followers on Instagram doesn’t mean they can disregard other people’s time. This is the biggest day of my life and thanks to Areej, I had to book someone VERY LAST MINUTE after calling a million places. This is highly highly unprofessional and I DO NOT recommend cool blue salon and I definitely don’t recommend Areej. I’ve never dyed my hair here but I know a few girls that have and I loved their feedback.
