Came here all the way from Oakland because of all the good reviews the place has. Went in not sure what to expect because my kid has always been difficult with haircuts. That’s why I looked for a place that specifically deals with kids maybe that way he would have a good experience. I have to say, I tried a different kids salon before and they let us down, but it seems we have found our new place for my son’s haircut. The overall experience was great. Precy was wonderful with my son. They were able to do an all scissors cut and he sat still for her and even though he has a fear of the clippers, she got him to sit still so she could do around his ears with the clippers. This was the fastest haircut he’s ever gotten. Thank you Cookie Cutters for giving my son his first good haircut experience. I would give 6 starts if I could.

I cant believe how disrespectful the older lady “Ana” was in my last visit. She asked me what my sons name was and I answered (Luciano)… she laughed and said “omg what did they name you”(obviously speaking to my son) . She then asked me why that name “It MUST be dads or grandpas name”. Like WHAT?! It’s none of your business first of all. I was super annoyed already by her first comment, but I decided to ignore her stupid comments anyway… I didn’t want to say anything rude because I wanted her to actually do a good job on my sons hair.

This place is amazing! Took my 11-month old daughter for the baby’s first hair cut and we had a great time! Ruben did a wonderful job with the haircut! The place is clean, well kept, and seats are sanitized immediately after each use. Highly recommended! Haircut

We had a great experience for our son’s first haircut at Cookie Cutters. Easy to schedule the appointment with lots of availability. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating with our squirmy and scared little guy. They have a great setup with TVs and bubbles etc. and got the haircut done quickly! The cut looks great and overall experience was smooth and easy, we’ll definitely be back.

This is one of the best places I’ve taken my kids to get cuts! I’ve seen reviews kinda blaming the stylist for the kids crying but that’s not really up to the stylist and more the parents, trust me disregard those negative ones. Karen and Ana were very respectful of our wishes and we’re very gentle and quick with our twins. Haven’t worked with the other stylist but they all were very happy, friendly and positive with their clients. Check this place out you and your kids will love it!

The place is really cute, but not really fun for kids. I thought part of the fun would be that a child could pick which chair they wanted to sit, but they don’t get to pick and they are very much down to business, they ask they child to sit and they cut their hair. Absolutely no talking or even a smile to the child.

We had the worst experience with my 14- month-old toddler at Cookie Cutters Haircuts in San Mateo (Hillsdale Mall). I’m sorry but this company shouldn’t be offering services to babies and toddlers. Nobody here have empathy or care a little about their most fragile clients. They clearly need training on how to treat small children, Ana didn’t even smile to him or tried to make him feel confortable, she just went straight to his hair with the machine…they scared my my baby since the minute one, and he wouldn’t stop crying, and the staff only seemed that they were in a hurry the whole time… and the only thing they have there to distract kids are TVs???? My baby doesn’t care about screens, because he’s not used to them… we had to ask somebody else to try and finish the hair cut, but it was the same, the whole time in a hurry (and babies can feel that environment, super stressful)!!!! , and this other person “finished” the service leaving several long hairs here and there (I still need to fix this at home) and left my baby’s face covered with a lot of hair, she didn’t know how to clean it…and all she did was offering a tissue??? Really? . Everything went bad from beginning to end..

Came for our 1 and a half year old son’s first hair cut…wasn’t sure how it would go but Ruben was amazing and cut his hair with ease! It had to be quick and precise due to the fact that the kids start getting a little antsy and uneasy, but Ruben was the man for the job. His hair cut came out better than expected. Highly recommended for first time cuts. We will be back for sure!
