I brought my 2 year old for her first haircut last week, and we had the best experience. The two ladies that were working was very friendly and helpful, and so patient with my daughter. We will definitely be back! Haircut, Curly hair

Great place to take my littles for their haircuts. My 3 year old loves that they put a little braid with ribbon and glitter in her hair. She is still talking about her last haircut a week later!

I’m not exactly happy with our experience. Could have been better could have been worse. I’ve managed salons in the past and can say the customer service can definitely use some work. (At least with the ladies working at the time) I’m a master cutter so I usually cut my sons hair myself but this particular time I wanted to give the kids salon a try to have the experience. We just moved to Greeley from Thornton so things are all over at the moment. Barely got a hello after standing at the desk for a few. My son still had a little bit of yogurt in his hair from breakfast that I didn’t notice untill he was seated, and instead of gently trying to get it out (like soften it with water) she started combing his hair pretty rough. He is still very young and not used to haircuts just yet so the few haircuts he has had have all been a battle because he’s only a year and a half. And she mentioned that usually is a sensory issue, but again he is only a year and a half! Didn’t realize they were doctors. My son is far from autistic. I’ve been in service industry my whole life so I’m not one to treat others without respect. But I sat on it yesterday and today I’m upset and my heart is broken about how my toddler was treated. Especially being in the same industry I understand a squirmy child’s haircut isn’t going to be perfect, but as long as your nice and try your best any normal person would still leave happy.

Cookie cutters offers hair treatments of all sorts specially catered to the unique needs of small ones that can’t quite sit still yet. Unfortunately they also stifle to manage reservations, especially when one family has multiple kids. Also, they fail to reinvest in the store, replacing and updating the furniture udders to engage the kids over the years.

Highly unsatisfied with our experience and will never be back. I am a person who rarely leaves reviews but I hope mine stops people from walking in the door of Cookie Cutters. When we walked in we had to wait a bit as my sons stylist (I think her name was Alyssa but I am not 100% sure) was finishing up which wasn’t a problem, looked like she did a good job cleaning up seat but overall place looked very outdated and a bit dirty. Cars were very old and we were informed right away that we can only choose from two cars if we want safety belts for our son. Then his stylist asked what cartoons my sons likes to which I replied that he doesn’t watch cartoons yet (my son is 15m old for goodness sake) and I felt very judged by her with the way I choose to raise my child. She replied that it may prevent him from crying, so I said let’s see how it goes and if he starts to I am fine with having it on for him. My son has already had his first haircut in another kids hair place called Sharkies which both him and I loved both experience and end result. This was totally opposite. My son cried hysterically the whole time. He didn’t care for cartoons or anything. She gave him a toy it was very dirty, like it hasn’t been cleaned in a while and had hair on it. After a few minutes I asked stylist if I could hold him to comfort him for a minute as he never usually cries so bad. She said she would rather not have me do this and got mad at me for taking him out and said she only has 15min to complete each child’s haircut. 15minutes??! What kind of haircut can you do for wiggly kids in such a short time. For reference in another place hairstylist took 30min + with my son who was happily playing in a fancy police car that they had. Anyhow, I put my son back in the car right away and he started crying historically right away again. So stylist told my husband and I that if we let him have candy we can give him a lollipop, which I said that he doesn’t eat candy yet but I will take one to try to calm him down as he usually likes to play with it. But he was crying so bad that he wasn’t interested. So hairstylist says: “Just let him lick it he will calm down”. By that point I was shocked by the manner that hairdresser talked to me and how she questioned and judged my decision as a parent. Not to forget her passive aggressive tone that she chose to talk to me. She could care less about my sons state and was talking to receptionist about buying Red Bull at the same time. She got done with his hair pretty fast and even though it looks terrible all I cared about at that time was to be able to take him out of there ASAP. Before we paid she was rude enough to tell us: “You can give your baby a balloon if you allow him to have balloons” in a sarcastic way as she obviously thinks that we are insane for depriving our 15m old of candy and tv. In the end she told us that we have 7days to come back and they will fix my sons hair if we don’t like it but only if he behaves better. Was it a joke? Maybe it was but based on her passive aggressive tone I don’t think so. My husband tipped her pretty good when I was in the bathroom (lucky for her as I wouldn’t). He felt bad because our son wasn’t “behaving”. But he is very young still and I specifically brought him to kid-friendly place because good experience for my child is as important for me as the cut itself. Unfortunately, both were really bad. I didn’t come for parenting advice. Honestly, that lady (Alyshia?) seemed like she could care less about kids, she did nothing to get him used to buzzer or make him comfortable. Maybe they have better employees besides her but I don’t want to risk it again.

Can’t say if I like or dislike this place. We walked in to see about getting my toddler’s hair trimmed but they were severely understaffed (as all places seem to be these days, unfortunately) and were no longer taking on anymore cuts for the day. There was another little kid in there getting his hair cut and only one other family before us but no additional staff to actually cut hair and the one kid getting his cut was also crying like someone was torturing the poor thing (not the staffs fault. Just a scared kid), which freaked my toddler out…so we didn’t bother sticking around. Maybe we will try again another day.

Awesome place! I was way late for my 2 kiddos cuts (age 3 & 5) and they were way busy! (A Sunday morning and the day before school was returning to in-person learning) but I was SO impressed with how quick, friendly, and efficient the whole staff operated. My kids’ haircuts were the best ever, and the quickest! They LOOOVED the little extras: temporary color, glitter, lollipop, and balloons! They went on and on all day about how great it was. These are the experiences that parents live for (and the fact next time we go for haircuts they’ll be pumped instead of crying)!

Always a great place to take the kids. You make an appointment and they are ready when you arrive! Kids always look great and they do a great job at keeping kids calm and distracting them!Balloons help a lot!

Great experience, had to wait a little bit longer than our appointment time but we just walked next door in the meantime. (There’s 1 lady running the place alone.) She was very patient and accommodating with our daughter, even as she was behind schedule. Our girl has very thick hair for a 4 yr old, she cut off the amount we asked and layered and thinned it out, and her hair turned out great! She made a good suggestion for next time as well, because her hair is so thick, book a shampoo time as well, said they wouldn’t have to shampoo or charge us for it, just to allot for extra time. Will be back! Also, went during the week.
