Our Albany spa offers a wide range of spa services, including corrective and rejuvenating facials, stress reduction, body therapies, body contouring, hydrotherapy, hairstyling, men’s barbering, manicures & pedicures, makeup artistry and more. Our Albany spa guests also enjoy a luxurious relaxation lounge, outdoor garden terrace and organic tea bar. Founded in 1987 by Denise Dubois, Complexions was expanded in 2008 with the opening of our current location on Wolf Road in Colonie. Today, we are Albany’s premier spa for award-winning, eco-friendly, LEED-Certified spa, salon and med-spa treatments.

Laser hair removal
Laser hair removal treatments take anywhere from a few minutes to about an hour, depending on the area being treated. Since hair grows in three stages, four to six treatments spaced six weeks apart are recommended for optimal results.

Complexions is a wonderful spa. Welcoming and relaxing. I never seem to take full advantage of the serenity lounge but next time I will book an early appt so I can enjoy the sauna as well. Nicole is terrific, she really listens to you to determine the best course for your massage. My only criticism is the lack of pictures/bio on the website. It would be nice, especially for first timers, to know a little bit about who they are booking with.

Had issues with both massages. Probably the nicest spa on the area along with spa mirabeu… but still leaves something to be desired especially considering the high prices! Very loud disruptive steam release sounds during latest massage. They said nothing they could do about it. Some massues were friendly some were awkward. Small open relaxing area, so there is activity back and forth. The recovery massage wasn’t at all what I expected. The soak tub experience was nice.

I found Complexions Spa Albany via their reviews online when setting up the vendors for my brother’s wedding. Kat, with group services was fantastic! She worked all the bridesmaids into the schedule and even worked with us on time changes. She was in full communication with me the entire time and I very much appreciated that considering I was from out of town. The day arrived for myself and 7 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and 2 grandmothers to receive services at Complexions. We arrived promptly and we’re greeted with drinks. The spa was clean and esthetically pleasing and at first I was happy with my choice. My makeup was done and immediately proceeding my hair was done. Christopher did my hair. He first asked what I wanted, I showed him pictures. Great. But as he was curling my hair…he burnt my temple/forehead. Pretty badly. Without even realizing at first. He acknowledged burning me when I pulled away and asked if he had burned me and I said yes. But that was it. THAT WAS IT! I left paying $204 for hair and makeup. I am a week out from the incident and I have a awful scab from a blistered burn which is still not healed. While I am certain by Christopher’s accolades he is a great stylist, my services were not rendered according to those credentials. Additionally, 4 people had to redo their hair because of the poor services they received. A lot of money was paid to Complexion Spa through this bridal party and unfortunately expectations were NOT met.

I had a massage scheduled for December 13th at 12pm with Anthony that I had scheduled for myself online. I showed up at 11:30 to be able to sit in the relaxation area beforehand and get acquainted with the spa. I then proceeded to wait until 12:40pm for my massage, when I finally got up from the relaxation area to the main lobby where I asked the receptionist if I could reschedule my appointment because I had waited 40min. She expressed that she could get me in with someone now, but at that point I was too annoyed to enjoy a massage. She gave me a 15% off coupon booklet and helped me reschedule my appointment. Overall, not a good experience.
