My daughter has a disability and not much control of her left hand, the nail tech took his time making sure each nail was done to her liking.

On my first visit in October 2021 I had a pedicure with a young man whose name I didn’t get. It was the very best I’d ever had! I was later told that my tech’s name was Justin. So, When I returned to HHI in February I made an appointment with Justin for a mani-pedi. Upon arrival I learned that my original tech was not named Justin, but I had Justin do my mani-pedi. What a disappointment!!! The manicure went well enough, but I felt like a couple of steps may have been skipped. I was never put under the drying lamps but was sent to the chair for my pedicure. There were definitely steps missing from my pedicure! Like a base coat! Justin quickly applied 2 coats of the nail color to my bare toe nails. He then applied what I suppose was a top coat. Told me to wait a few minutes and he went to the desk. Within what seemed like maybe a minute and a half he returned, told me that the sandals I had worn into the salon would not work and said that he would give me disposable ones. He literally slapped them on my feet and told me again to wait a few minutes. My appointment was at 12:00 and started pretty much on time. The time I got the disposable sandals on was 12:40. I reached into my purse to text my husband that I would be finished by 1:00, assuming that I would be spending time under the drying lamps. In the process of getting my phone from my purse I had smudged 2 nails. Justin fixed them for me and said okay you can go and motioned for me to pay his wife, which I did, which included a 20% tip. In hindsight, I should have complained immediately and should definitely not have tipped so well, but I’m not one for confrontation, so I let it go. But! I have never been treated so poorly by someone in the service industry in my life! The whole process was rushed!!! A mani-pedi completed in under 45 minutes!!! Sent home with disposable sandals and wet nails!!! There’s a nail salon on pretty much every corner and strip mall around. The next time I visit Hilton Head Island I’m sure I’ll find someone who will treat me with more respect and much better service than I received from Justin.

This is the best nail salon I have been to. Justin does a great job. His dip manicures are the best I have had since I started getting my nails done regularly 18 months ago. I go 4 weeks between dip manicures and have had no problem with lifting since he has done my nails. The atmosphere is relaxing. The location is convenient on the north end of the island and has plenty of parking.

Critical: PunctualityI rarely do anything for myself, so I thought it would be nice to have my nails done on my only day off. The last time I had them done was for my wedding, at this location over a year ago, and I loved the result. Showed up for my appointment and they were closed. First time I went I had a great experience with them no issues. My second time there, I had asked for an acrylic full set with gel polish. I felt like the work was very rushed, I noticed some nails were uneven and not the same length or size. The polish began to wear off within a few days after my appointment. I had also wanted them longer than what they were before and I was just given the same length as before. Overall not bad, just prefer to pay on work that actually took time and wasnt rushed and done within 20 mins
