Critical: ProfessionalismI really wanted to convince myself that I enjoyed my massage by Clarissa. But after 24 hours, I can’t, and had to write this review. I picked this place because it has 5 stars but now I see the majority of reviews are about Jennifer and Brenda. I did performing arts for almost 10 years, suffered from abuse and now I work in a chair all day so I needed some relief in my back.- Her rub to oil ratio is not balanced, making it to where your skin is chaffed and pinched during the massage.- I came in here for a relaxing 2 hour but I feel like it was a competition most of the time. Living in Utah does not excuse the fundamental rule of not having religious discussions with your client during a massage and not discussing your personal life to your clients as your massaging them the entire 2 hours. I do NOT approach these types of conversations to complete strangers, so I know it was not in my doing.- She pressed on nerves & joints which was a kind gesture but I didn’t ask for it. I communicated that I have knots and strain that need loosened. She pressed something on my neck and now I literally can’t move my neck, I’m stuck looking like Uncle Fester moving my entire body with my head. That was my final straw in making me write this review. I had damage before and was still able to move before her and now I can’t move at all.- Lastly, she commented on one of my pimples thinking it was a skin tag, commented on the birthmark on my back asked if I “had gotten that checked out”… oh my god? I know I should have said something but it was my first time here and I did not want to be as offensive as this woman was making me feel. I don’t mind talking throughout an entire 2 hour, but she wasn’t even pleasant to speak with because she’d interrupt, correct you, it is not a vibe you’re paying $135 for. Her insecurity radiated off onto me and it absolutely ruined the relaxation aspect of this. I have never received such poor massage table planners from a therapist than Clarissa at the Color Country Massage. This taught me to record from now on.**UPDATE**After speaking with Jennifer who was very responsive via email, she offered me a 2 hour massage + hot stone therapy ). After I got done with it l felt amazing. Jennifer literally realigned my body back into place, my wrist cracked a little, she put muscles back into place, she stretched me just right, she had a breast pillow that worked wonders. The scent of Jasmine was perfect, the holiday spa music, the hot stones, the table heater, it was the experience I’ve been waiting years for. Hearing of someone named Katherine or Kathy, will give her a shot if she’s as good as Jennifer. Excited to come back and it’s close to home! Thanks so much, happy holidays. Katherine was great! She really knows how to find and target those tricky spots. I’ve been having recurring pain in my arm for some time, but Katherine worked on it and now the pain is gone. I would definitely recommend going to see Katherine.

Positive: ProfessionalismI had a fantastic craniosacral therapist, but she moved closer to family which left me without anyone. I have old neck and back issues and fibromyalgia, which flare up and craniosacral has become my go-to for pain management as it doesn’t cause me any additional pain during the process of relieving the issues that are bothering me. A friend recommended Jennifer but as she was out of town, I went to see Clairissa who did a remarkable job on me! I would highly recommend these ladies to anyone who suffers from injuries, MS, fibromyalgia, migraines, or any sports injuries. They can relieve the pain and get you back on the road to health quickly and professionally.
