Critical: ProfessionalismI took our Grandson in for a haircut. When I greeted and asked the Barber how he was, he answered as good as I can be for having to be at work. When he finished cutting he asked how I liked the cut and I nicely asked him to even up over the ears. He immediately told me that I insulted him after 45 years of cutting hair and that the hair over ears was perfectly even. I told him that he should not to ask a Customer if everything was OK if he really doesn’t want to know. He told us to get lost. I took our Grandson in for a haircut. When I greeted and asked the Barber how he was, he answered as good as I can be for having to be at work. When he finished cutting he asked how I liked the cut and I nicely asked him to even up over the ears. I’m so happy a barbershop like this still exists. I’ve read the bad reviews and I really can’t believe them. I’ve been going to Eddie for a couple years now and I’ve NEVER had a bad experience. I’ve also NEVER heard anyone in the community utter a bad word about him. Eddie is polite but you don’t have to wonder what’s on his mind. I appreciate that. Most men do. That being said, it’s a barber shop, not a beauty salon. His job is to cut hair and he excells at that. In my opinion, Collins Barber Shop is EXACTLY what a barber shop should be.

WOW your customers would laugh at a person that has a mental illness!! I did not set your price you charged what you wanted and I would have paid what you felt was fair. My husband is not very picky, he rarely speaks at all, due to being autistic. My husband was very lucky that he held a job that he never had to speak with the public or Co workers. He’s a smart man but extremely quiet. He held that job for more than 40 years, retiring, and doing very well. My husband’s hair is very thick and grows extremely fast. Yes I did hold off sending him for a cut about every 2 to 3 weeks. But all you had to say was you would prefer him to come more often. Would have been an easy fix. I can hardly believe you feel it’s justified to abuse a person with a mental illness. You definitely know how to cut hair, but how you treat people takes away so much from your character. You will never be more than a bully.

My husband loved getting his hair cut here. The barber does a wonder job. My husband is on the high end of the spectrum scale, which I informed the barber, the first time we went. The last time my husband got his hair cut there, he asked the barber a question and he told my husband to leave and not come back. My husband was very upset as he said he had no idea what he said that upset him. He’s a great barber if you just don’t talk to him. FYI my husband is very quiet and shy, speaks very little to people he doesn’t know well.

As a military veteran it’s hard to find a barber that can my hair the way I have had it for years. Mr. Collins was fast, friendly, and professional while cutting not only my hair but my 3 year old, and my teenage sons hair. My oldest is autistic and he didn’t mind taking a little time to help relax and comfort him. I will definitely come back for not only my next hair cut but my sons as well. Thank Mr. Collins your friendly professional character was a joy to be around.
